(Baonghean.vn) - That is one of Nghe An's goals in implementing the Project "Ensuring food safety, improving the quality of agriculture, forestry and fishery products in the period 2021 - 2030" approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Ensure food safety, improvequality of agriculture, forestry and fishery productsContributing to ensuring people's health and rights; improving the quality, value and competitiveness of Nghe An's agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the Vietnamese and international markets, on September 19, 2022, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 638 on implementing Decision No. 1384/2022 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development approving the Project "Ensuring food safety, improving the quality of agricultural, forestry and fishery products for the period 2021 - 2030" in Nghe An province.

Accordingly, the set goal is,Phase 2022 - 2025:Cultivation area, aquaculture area, and number of livestock facilities certified for good agricultural practices - GAP (such as VietGAP or equivalent) increase by 5%/year.

90% of agricultural, forestry and fishery production and business establishments are certifiedfood safety qualifiedor sign a commitment to comply with food safety regulations.

The rate of industrial-scale agricultural, forestry, aquatic and food processing and primary processing facilities in the province applying advanced quality management systems such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000... increases by 5% per year.

The rate of deeply processed products (ready-to-eat, instant) increases by 5%/year. The rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery food samples monitored for violations of food safety regulations decreases by 10%/year.

100% of districts and communes have improved their agricultural, forestry and fishery quality management systems in accordance with the assignment and decentralization. 100% of officers managing quality and food safety of agricultural, forestry and fishery products at all levels have been trained and updated on their professional knowledge.

100% of agricultural, forestry and fishery production and trading establishments are certified to meet food safety conditions or sign a commitment to comply with food safety laws.

The rate of industrial-scale agricultural, forestry and aquatic food processing and primary processing facilities in the province applying advanced quality management systems such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000... increased by 15%/year and 20%/year respectively.

The rate of deeply processed products (ready-to-eat, instant) increases by 10%/year. The rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery food samples monitored for violations of food safety regulations decreases by 10%/year.

Maintain 100% of quality management staff, food safety of agriculture, forestry and fishery at all levels trained and updated with professional knowledge.

To achieve these goals, the proposed solution is: Perfecting mechanisms and policies, integrating the task of investing in upgrading infrastructure to meet the conditions for production and trading of quality and safe agricultural, forestry and fishery products into plans, projects and programs to restructure the agricultural sector and build new rural areas for 2022 - 2025.

Coordinate the mobilization of State and social resources in ensuring the quality and safety of agricultural, forestry and fishery products.

Innovation in training, coaching, transfer of science and technology, management science to ensure food safety, improve the quality of agriculture, forestry and fishery products.

Strengthen timely and accurate information and communication about food quality and safety to create consumer trust.

Pushapplication of scientific and technological advances, digital transformation in quality management, food safety, traceability. Promote trade promotion of agriculture, forestry and fishery products. Promote administrative reform, standardize professional processes according to standards and regulations. Attract resources and experience to ensure food quality and safety.
