(Baonghean.vn) - In the face of complicated flood situation causing widespread inundation in many localities in the district, on October 1, leaders of Tan Ky district directly inspected the flood situation and gave necessities to people in Ky Tan, Tan Long, Nghia Hoan, and Huong Son communes isolated by rising flood waters.

On the night of September 30, heavy rain combined with a large amount of water flowing from upstream caused the water level of the Con River in Tan Ky district to rise, flooding hundreds of houses along the river. National Highway 48E from Dien Nam intersection, Ky Tan commune to Tan Long commune was deeply submerged in water, completely cutting off traffic. According to the statistics, Tan Ky had 1,326 flooded houses. |

That very night, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Tan Ky District and local authorities directed the disaster prevention and control shock force to assist in evacuating more than 300 households in flooded areas to safety. As of 9am this morning, the entire district had 1,326 households flooded, with the total estimated damage caused by floods in Tan Ky district being over 57 billion VND.
