Criminal detention of suspect who set fire to and killed his own child.
Due to conflicts in their daily lives, Hoang Tuan Chu (born in 1964) used gasoline to set fire to the second floor of his house in an attempt to kill his son, Hoang Van Hung (born in 1992).
The Bac Giang Provincial Police announced that they have investigated and identified the person who used gasoline to set fire to a house in Viet Yen district (Bac Giang province) as the victim's biological father.
Through investigation, the authorities persuaded the suspect to surrender.
Specifically, at approximately 11 PM on September 30th, a fire broke out on the second floor of the house belonging to Mr. Hoang Van Hung (born in 1992, residing in Kim Son village, Tien Son commune, Viet Yen district). As a result, Mr. Hung suffered severe burns and was taken to Military Hospital 110 in Bac Ninh province for emergency treatment.
After the fire was extinguished, Hung's family informed the police that the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit and that there was no need for police presence at the scene.
However, through intelligence gathering and the application of professional measures, the police force determined that there were unusual signs and suspected that the fire was caused by arson using gasoline, so they organized an investigation.crime scene investigationand conduct investigations to verify and clarify the incident.
By 5:00 AM on October 2nd, the Bac Giang Provincial Police force had investigated and successfully persuaded Hoang Tuan Chu (born in 1964), residing in Kim Son village, Tien Son commune, Viet Yen district (the biological father of Hoang Van Hung), to surrender for the crime of "murder".
Initial investigations determined that, due to a conflict during their daily lives, on September 30th, Hoang Tuan Chu used gasoline to set fire to the second floor in an attempt to kill Hung.
The suspect, Hoang Tuan Chu, has two previous convictions for "theft" and "extortion." Chu and Hung currently live in the same house, Chu on the first floor and Hung on the second. Hoang Tuan Chu is currently being held in custody on charges of "murder."
The Criminal Investigation Department and the Viet Yen District Police are continuing to investigate and handle the suspect in accordance with the law.
