Donating 1,200 sets of textbooks and nearly 500 million VND to students in flood-affected areas

On October 4, the Department of Education and Training, together with Vietnam Publishing Investment - Educational Equipment Joint Stock Company, visited and presented gifts to 4 schools affected by the flood.flooddue to floods in the three districts of Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh and Hung Nguyen.

At each school, the delegation donated 300 sets.textbookKites for grades 1, 2, 3 and 50 million VND in cash. The total amount donated to 4 schools in Nghe An province is about 500 million VND.

Pham Hong Thai Primary School, Campus 2, located in Hung Nhan Commune, Hung Nguyen District, after 6 days of flooding, students still cannot go to school. The entire school is still deeply submerged in floodwaters, and the road to school is still cut off in many places.

Due to the impact of the flood, not only the school but also many students' houses in the school were damaged, making life difficult for the families. According to the plan, if the situation is favorable, students will be able to return to school at least this weekend.

Visiting teachers and students of Pham Hong Thai Primary School, representatives of Vietnam Publishing Investment - Educational Equipment Joint Stock Company shared the difficulties of schools in flood-hit areas and hoped that teachers and students would make efforts to overcome natural disasters to soon stabilize teaching and learning.

In the spirit of sharing, the company representative also hopes that the gifts sent to schools and students will promptly encourage and contribute a small part to help schools overcome difficulties caused by floods.

Also this morning, a working group from the Department of Education and Training, together with the Vietnam Publishing Investment and Educational Equipment Joint Stock Company, came to present gifts to the following schools: Quynh Hong Primary School (Quynh Luu District), Duc Thanh Primary School and Long Thanh Primary School (Yen Thanh District). These are three schools that were deeply flooded after the flood and currently only Quynh Hong Primary School students can go to school.

Previously, at the end of August 2022, in preparation for the new school year, the Company also donated 600 sets of textbooks for grades 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 10 to the Nghe An Department of Education and Training with a total amount of nearly 200 million VND.
