The Provincial People's Committee responded to the petition of Quynh Luu voters on the progress of dredging Lach Quen Port.

(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu district reported that large-capacity fishing vessels entering and exiting Lach Quen port (Quynh Thuan commune) are currently facing many difficulties. Voters recommended early dredging of the port to facilitate the entry and exit of boats.

The project to build fisheries service infrastructure in Lach Quen, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, invested by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An, was approved by the Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of 200 billion VND, of which the construction cost is 168.264 billion VND.

The project is divided into 6 construction packages, including 4 packages to build the 507-meter-long Quynh Thuan wharf and the 273-meter-long Tien Thuy wharf combined with embankment; 2 packages to dredge the channel.

Regarding the scale of the dredging package: The total dredging length is 3,579 meters, including: dredging the shipping channel; dredging the water area in front of the Quynh Thuan commune wharf and dredging the water area in front of the Tien Thuy commune wharf.

The Project's bidding packages were started in February 2022. The entire Project will be constructed within 11 months and must be completed before December 31, 2022 (according to Document No. 51/TTg-NN dated June 28, 2021 of the Prime Minister).

Currently, the dredging package has completed about 20 to 30% of the contract value.
