Gasoline and oil suppliers in the province have proactively taken measures to ensure the supply of gasoline and oil, meeting the consumption volume in the market.

No business shutdown or hoarding

Present at Sau Hang petrol station (franchise of Nghe An Petroleum Company) in Dien Ngoc commune, districtDien Chau, according to observation, we saw that motor vehicles were still coming in to fill up with gasoline and oil normally. Mr. Tran Minh Tam - a truck driver in Dien Ky commune said: In the face of the shortage of gasoline and oil at some locations in Ho Chi Minh City, we were also worried, but when we came to fill up with oil at this store, the tank was still full and the staff advised us that there was no need to buy in reserve because there was still a lot of oil in the tank, so we were also reassured.

The owner of Sau Hang petrol station said: Our shop sells an average of 1,000 liters/day, our petrol and oil supply is all provided by Nghe An Petroleum Company. In recent days, some places in the countrylocal fuel shortageBut our store is still guaranteed the supply by the supplier. Currently, there are over 7,000 liters of gasoline and oil in the tank. When the goods are almost out, Nghe An Petroleum Company will continue to supply.

According to the report of the Economic Infrastructure Department of Dien Chau district, the whole district has 86 gas stations. On October 12, the district coordinated with Market Management Team No. 1 to conduct inspections at all retail stores in the area, and discovered that Tu Tuong Gas Station in Dien Loi commune ran out of gas because the supplier had not delivered it in time, but on the afternoon of October 12, the goods were promptly supplied to this unit for retail sale.

Through inspections in recent days, it has been shown that in Dien Chau district, the supply of gasoline and oil is still guaranteed and stable, there is no situation of closure or hoarding, gasoline and oil suppliers are all ensuring to meet the quantity of customers' needs in the area.

Market Management Team No. 1 is coordinating with localities to propagate that people should not hoard gasoline. Stores must have plans to ensure gasoline supply, maintain operations at the store, fully supply to meet consumption and production needs, and ensure no interruptions. In case retail gasoline stores temporarily suspend operations or close, they must notify the State agency in writing.

In Quynh Luu district, the supply of gasoline is also stable. Mr. Le Van Ba ​​- Deputy Head of the Economic Infrastructure Department of Quynh Luu district said that there are currently 103 gas stations in the area, after inspection, 2 stations are temporarily closed (1 store does not meet the licensing requirements, 1 store has to be repaired due to flooding).

In recent days, the district has coordinated with Market Management Team No. 4 to strengthen the inspection and supervision of retail petrol stations, to prevent disruptions in petrol supply. At the same time, it has implemented a quick reporting regime on the petrol supply market situation in the area before each price adjustment cycle and sent it to the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district.

Efforts to ensure petroleum supply

According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade, Nghe An currently has 704 stores licensed to retail gasoline (after inspection, 5 gas stations requested to stop operating, their licenses were revoked). Up to now, no store has closed due to lack of goods. However, according to feedback, in the past, there have been some local interruptions in business at some gas stations due to overloaded transportation of gasoline from traders, leading to delays in delivery. In addition, currently, nationwide, due to difficulties in importing and producing, the supply of gasoline is limited.

Faced with the pressure of shortages and sudden increase in demand, the Department of Industry and Trade has worked with key petroleum traders in the area. Thereby, asking traders to proactively plan and commit to ensuring supply, meeting enough consumption for the people so that no stores or agents report shortages in Nghe An province.

Accordingly, key traders and distributors have committed to ensuring the supply of 58,000-62,000m3, specifically as follows: Nghe An Petroleum Company meets about 32,000-33,000m3 gasoline, oil/month; Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company meets about 20,000-22,000m3 gasoline, oil/month; other distributors meet about 6,000-7,000m3 gasoline, oil/month.

To ensure the supply of gasoline and stabilize the gasoline market, the Nghe An Market Management Department has urgently focused its forces to strengthen the inspection and supervision of gasoline trading activities in the province. In particular, closely monitor gasoline and oil trading units (key traders, distributors, general agents, agents, gasoline and oil retail stores); organize the reception of feedback information via hotlines, coordinate information exchange with other local authorities to promptly detect and strictly handle violations.

Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has issued Official Dispatch No. 1953/SCT-QLTM, dated October 4, 2022, directing to ensure supply and stabilize the gasoline and oil market in the province. Accordingly, the Market Management Department, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns: Continue to coordinate with functional forces to strengthen inspection and supervision of gasoline and oil sales at gasoline and oil retail stores in the area. Do not allow the situation of stopping sales without justifiable reasons and approved by the Department of Industry and Trade, promptly detect and strictly handle violations.

Actively, promptly and accurately disseminate information on the supply of gasoline and oil, and the price of gasoline and oil in the area to stabilize consumer psychology. The Department Inspectorate continues to strengthen surprise inspections of ensuring the supply and retail sale of gasoline and oil by gasoline and oil businesses in the area. Timely handle violations, especially forretail gas stationStop selling without justifiable reason, propose to review and revoke the certificate of qualified stores to retail gasoline and oil according to regulations.

The Department of Industry and Trade recommends: Enterprises trading in gasoline and oil in the province, key traders, and gasoline and oil distributors: Continue to proactively have plans to ensure gasoline and oil supply for the market, maintain sales activities at gasoline and oil retail stores in the distribution system of the enterprise.

Share supply sources, adjust discounts reasonably, ensure adequate supply of gasoline and oil without breaking or interrupting the supply to maintain sales activities at gasoline and oil retail stores in the unit's distribution system. In case gasoline and oil retail stores in the distribution system of any unit stop selling due to out of stock, that unit must take full responsibility and be handled according to regulations.

Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: To remove difficulties for petroleum activities in the province, the Department of Industry and Trade proposed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade consider a number of contents such as: needing to adjust the cost of transporting petroleum from the factory to the port and the domestic premium level, in the base price of petroleum products in the petroleum price management periods to ensure that it accurately reflects the actual costs incurred by enterprises; helping enterprises increase the discount rate in the petroleum distribution system.

Currently, some distributors in Nghe An are facing difficulties in supply and are unable to purchase goods from key traders to supply to the system. The Department of Industry and Trade requests the Ministry of Industry and Trade to consider and direct key traders and petroleum distributors in other localities to support and share goods sources.
