Artificial football field for students in disadvantaged areas

At the end of August, the Green Lotus Football Tournament for all primary schools was held for the first time in Nam Dan district and attracted the participation of many students. This was also the first time that a tournament was held without the Organizing Committee having to worry about funding or grounds, even though the qualifying round of the tournament was organized in clusters, many of which were located in difficult areas. All matches were held on artificial football fields right at primary schools.

Up to this point, Nam Dan is the first locality in the province to have "covered" artificial football fields in 23/23 primary schools in the district. Currently, two other football fields are also being prepared to be built at Dang Chanh Ky Secondary School and Anh Xuan Secondary School. The cost to build these 23 football fields is about 6 billion VND and is completely implemented in the form of socialization donated by the Green Lotus Fund.

Previously, building an artificial turf field was a distant dream for all schools in the district because the district budget was limited and investment funding for schools was difficult. Meanwhile, building an artificial turf field from socialized sources among parents was difficult due to the difficult conditions of people in rural areas. With the desire for students in Nam Dan district to have a sports playground to develop comprehensively, stay away from social evils and develop physically, the Nam Dan District Education Department connected with the Green Lotus Fund founded by Nam Dan children far from home to support the construction of artificial turf fields for students. The idea received both material and spiritual support and in just nearly 2 years, all primary schools in the district had artificial turf fields to serve students in physical education and other cultural and sports activities. In addition, the Green Lotus Fund has also supported all secondary schools in the district with English teaching materials and software, contributing to improving the quality of English learning in schools.

Through the implementation process, Mr. Le Trung Son - Head of the District Department of Education and TrainingNam Danadded:New general education programaims to help students develop comprehensively in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and other basic skills. Therefore, when connecting with sponsors, we try to make them understand the role of education and the importance and practical meaning that sponsorship brings to schools. Once supported, we also require schools to promote the effectiveness of the project, helping students have space and opportunities to play football right at school. During the implementation process, the model has been as effective as expected.

Substantial and effective socialization

Compared to many other schools in the area, Nguyen Canh Chan High School (Thanh Chuong) faces more difficulties in terms of input quality and students' family conditions. Currently, the school has nearly 70 students who are ethnic minorities from Ngoc Lam commune studying and staying near the school.

From the above reality, thesocial mobilizationIt is also difficult to contribute to the purchase of school facilities. However, this school year, the school has completed the provision of enough televisions and whiteboards for 24 classrooms in the school, helping to organize teaching and learning effectively.

During the implementation process, teacher Nguyen Van Thuan - Principal of the school said: We determined that in order for socialization to receive support from parents, it must be public, transparent and at the right address, avoiding the situation ofoverchargingand must be approved before the parent meeting so that parents can understand and see the practical effectiveness of socialization. On the part of teachers, they are also pioneers in implementation, many teachers deduct a part of their salary to join hands with parents to buy equipment for the classroom. In addition, we also mobilize resources from the school's alumni, deploy many programs to raise funds to support poor and disadvantaged students.

Before the new school year, Thanh Chuong 3 High School has also completed the renovation of facilities in each classroom, equipped with enough televisions, slide boards and put into use a modern English room to help students study effectively. The entire meaningful project with a total value of nearly 6 billion VND is the amount that the school mobilized from the support of the school's former students and benefactors.

In addition to providing material support, the school also connects with a number of businesses in Thanh Chuong to create conditions for poor students of the school to borrow capital when they pass the university entrance exam. For the past 2 years, the school's union has organized loving meals with thousands of meals contributed by philanthropists, organizations and businesses. Currently, the school has an alumni association in many localities across the country to connect with successful students and children, and this is one of the bases for the school to call for support and help with the aim of helping education in the district develop more and more.

In recent years, throughout Nghe An province, there have been dozens of schools and many meaningful projects in schools implemented from socialized sources such as purchasing equipment and facilities, building swimming pools for students or awarding scholarships to poor students.

It is worth mentioning that this socialization is not mobilized from parents but from the help of organizations and individuals of children far from home who care about education.

Through the implementation process, many principals also believe that to effectively socialize, the most important thing is the dedication and responsibility of both the mobilizer and the participant, and the socialization must be substantial, promoting the meaning of the gift given.

These meaningful projects have also helped schools, parents and students have more motivation to try, improve the quality of teaching in schools, strengthen the connection between generations of students and promote the tradition of studiousness of local people./.
