Details of localities benefiting from investment of more than 2.6 trillion VND to develop ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An has been allocated more than 2.6 trillion VND by the Central Government to implement the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period.

At the recent 9th Session, the People's Council of Nghe An province, term XVIII, term 2021 - 2026, passed a Resolution on the investment capital plan for development from the Central Budget to implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2025 and 2022 in Nghe An.
Accordingly, in the period of 2021 - 2025, Nghe An was allocated 2,632 billion 560 million VND by the Central Budget to implement 9 projects.
In particular, the Project to solve the shortage of residential land, housing, production land, and domestic water was invested with 161 billion 681 million VND and implemented in the districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Tan Ky, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, and Nghia Dan.
The project of Planning, arranging, relocating and stabilizing population in necessary places was allocated 86 billion 596 million VND and implemented in the districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong and Que Phong.
The project to develop sustainable agricultural and forestry production, promote the potential and strengths of regions to produce goods according to the value chain, with an allocation of 28 billion 733 million VND, will focus on supporting the development of precious medicinal herbs in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 5 districts: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Que Phong and Quy Chau.
The project to invest in essential infrastructure, serving production and life in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and public service units in the ethnic sector is allocated 1,666 billion 502 million VND to be implemented in the districts: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Tan Ky, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Nghia Dan, Quynh Luu.

The project on developing education and training to improve the quality of human resources with 418 billion 722 million VND will be focused on implementing innovation in activities, consolidating and developing ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding schools, schools with semi-boarding students and eliminating illiteracy for people in ethnic minority areas. Accordingly, the units that will benefit from the capital for implementation are the Department of Education and Training and the localities including: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop.
The project to preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development, with an allocated budget of 77 billion 403 million VND, will be assigned to the Department of Culture and Sports, and the districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Tan Ky, Que Phong, Quy Chau, and Quy Hop.
The project of taking care of people's health, improving the physical condition and stature of ethnic minorities; preventing child malnutrition with 59 billion 970 million VND will be implemented in Con Cuong district to serve the construction of the District Medical Center and Quy Hop district to build a house for the Department of Examination and Treatment, the Department of Testing and Diagnostic Imaging, the power station, and at the same time renovate the two-story house which is currently the Internal Medicine - Infectious Diseases Department of Quy Hop District Medical Center.
The investment project to develop ethnic minority groups with very few people and ethnic groups with many difficulties, with an allocated budget of 97 billion 306 million VND, will be implemented in the districts of Con Cuong and Tuong Duong.
The project on communication, propaganda and mobilization in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Inspection, supervision and evaluation of the implementation of the Program with 35 billion 647 million VND will focus on implementing the application of information technology to support socio-economic development and ensure security and order in ethnic minority and mountainous areas by the Ethnic Committee, the Department of Information and Communications, the Provincial Cooperative Union and the districts: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Tan Ky, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Nghia Dan, Quynh Luu.
