More than 4,000 new students of Vinh University attended the opening ceremony of the new school year.

This school year,Vinh UniversityThere are more than 4,000 new students enrolled and the quality of input is highly appreciated with many candidates achieving high scores and students achieving national excellent students.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang - Principal, Chairman of the Science and Training Council of Vinh University also recalled the school's more than 60-year training tradition. In the first days of the new school year, the school's English Olympic team surpassed 77 competing teams to win first prize in the 2022 National Student English Olympic Competition in the Central region. The school is also comprehensively innovating its activities to move towards a modern university model, according to international standards.

To meet the requirements of the new period and promote the tradition of the school, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang also suggested that students, together with teachers, must light the fire of passion and creativity in learning, the desire to rise up to acquire knowledge, master new technology, form and develop global skills of 21st century students to proactively and confidently become future entrepreneurs.

Students also need to believe in their own intelligence and determination, take control of their lives, and conquer all challenges and difficulties in the new environment with a brave heart, intelligence, and a humane attitude.

At the opening ceremony, Vinh University also announced the Mission and Vision of Vinh University in the integration period, aiming to become a university training high-quality human resources and a smart university, ranked in the top 500 universities in Asia by 2030, and ranked in the top 1,000 universities in the world by 2045.

On this occasion, the school also announced the Decision and awarded certificates of accreditation standards for 4 training programs: Literature Pedagogy, Geography Pedagogy, Food Technology, Control and Automation Engineering; announced the Pedagogical School to meet 5-star standards and the School of Economics to meet 4-star Plus standards according to the application orientation; the Mathematics Pedagogy major was ranked 5 stars according to the research orientation, the Business Administration major was ranked 4 stars according to the application orientation according to the Vietnam University Rankings - UPM.

At the opening ceremony, the school also rewarded valedictorians, students with high admission scores, and awarded certificates to outstanding students of the 2021-2022 school year.

The school's valedictorian is Lu Thi La Nhung - a former student of Ethnic Minority Boarding High School No. 2 and a student of the Faculty of Primary Education.
