Comrade Ngo Van Tuan was elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of State Auditor General.
On the afternoon of October 21, with 461 delegates present, 459 delegates approved (accounting for 92.17%), the National Assembly elected comrade Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy State Auditor General in charge of State Audit, to hold the position of State Auditor General for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, on July 24, on behalf of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented the Politburo's decision and the National Assembly Standing Committee's resolution assigning comrade Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee, to be Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee of the State Audit, Deputy State Auditor General in charge of the State Audit.
Comrade Ngo Van Tuan, born on August 2, 1971; hometown Lien Bao commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh; has a Master's degree in Economics; Senior in political theory. During his working career, Comrade Ngo Van Tuan has held many different positions, including a long time working in the financial sector.
From August 1995 - June 1998, Specialist of Financial Policy Department, Ministry of Finance.
From July 1998 - November 1998, Deputy Head of Financial Policy Department, Ministry of Finance.
From December 1998 - November 2003, Deputy Head of General Secretary Office, Office of the Ministry of Finance.
From December 2003 - December 2005, Secretary of the Party Cell of the General Secretariat (January 2004 - December 2005), Head of the General Secretariat, Office of the Ministry of Finance.
From January 2006 to November 2008, Deputy Chief of Office and Assistant to the Minister of Finance.

In July 2021, comrade Ngo Van Tuan was elected as a National Assembly delegate of the 15th term and is Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hoa Binh province, Head of the Party Cell.
On July 24, 2022, comrade Ngo Van Tuan was assigned to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the State Audit; Deputy State Auditor General, in charge of the State Audit.
On October 21, 2022, comrade Ngo Van Tuan was elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of State Auditor General for the 2021-2026 term.
Previously, at a separate meeting on the morning of October 21, 2022, the National Assembly Standing Committee submitted to the National Assembly the dismissal of Mr. Tran Sy Thanh from the position of State Auditor General for the 2021-2026 term. Mr. Thanh was assigned to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, term XVII, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
