Thuy Tien opens up at the end of her term, clarifying her relationship with Quang Linh

In December 2021, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam. She is the first Vietnamese to win this beauty pageant.

I don't regret anything

* Hello Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien! How do you feel about ending your term as Miss Grand International 2021?

- Miss Thuy Tien: My feelings are quite mixed right now. I have a little regret because my term in office is quite short, less than a year. But I am also happy and excited because I will soon meet my successor. Above all, I also have upcoming plans so I am quite looking forward to it. If I evaluate my term, I can only say that I have tried and made every effort. Whether it is good or not depends on the feelings of each audience. But I do not regret anything.

* Honestly, during that 1 year in office, did Tien ever feel pressured or tired because of the weight of the crown?

- There will be pressure, but not fatigue. Winning the beauty pageant seems to change my life, helping people know and care for me more, so there will definitely be pressure. But to the point of being tired and wanting to give up, there is no way.

Thuy Tien feels she has matured after nearly a year in office. The beauty said that everyone's love and admiration is the motivation for her to improve herself every day.

* How does Thuy Tien see herself changing after one year of becoming Miss Grand International 2021?

- I have changed a lot. I feel more mature. From someone no one knew, now many people see me as their inspiration and motivation. That makes me feel responsible and try to improve myself more. So the past year has been the time when I have matured the most and changed the most clearly.

As for the gossip from the public after being crowned Miss, I think it is inevitable and beyond my control. At that time, it is best not to worry too much about it. There will definitely be gossip, but I have to consider and select to improve myself. The so-called negative criticism that does not help me in any way is best to ignore.

* During meetings with Miss Grand International 2022 contestants, Mr. Nawat repeatedly revealed Thuy Tien's income and assets. Is that true?

- At this point, I don't care too much about that. Now, I feel like I have enough to eat and live on, so I want to focus more on my image, so that the love and support that everyone has given me is not wasted, even after my term has ended. Because I know that many people see me as a source of inspiration. At the moment, I don't care much about income.

For the beauty born in 1998, losing a bit of freedom after being crowned Miss Grand International 2021 is a worthy sacrifice. In return, she is loved by more people.

* Some people say that it will be a long time before there is a comprehensive representative like Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien. What do you think about this opinion?

- I'm happy about that. But I don't think it will last long. I myself am not a complete, perfect person. I see that I still have many shortcomings, so I'm in the process of developing and perfecting. When I look at younger people, I see that they are better, more knowledgeable... Someone like me may be difficult, but someone better than me can be many.

* Becoming a beauty queen, having to maintain your image, does Tien feel like you have lost your freedom? How much time do you spend with your family?

- I think it's a sacrifice. Life is always a balance between gains and losses. When you become famous, you get a lot of things. Personally, I find it easier to make money. I get to be beautiful, appear on TV, be loved and admired by everyone... then I think losing some privacy is a worthy sacrifice. It's a choice. If we look at things more easily, there will be no complaints or blame.

Before becoming a beauty queen, I was not too dependent on my family. That was my personality. Even though I didn’t come home for dinner often or had to call my parents every day, I could still set aside holidays and days off to travel with my family, go back to my hometown, or do new things.

Thuy Tien said that during her tenure, she felt pressured by the weight of the crown but never had any intention of giving up.

I don't put much emphasis on getting married when I reach the age.

* What is the first thing Thuy Tien will do after finishing her term?

- I will have a charity event in Indonesia and a trip to Bali. That will be my first trip after my term ends. I often say that I will spend more time for myself, but I don't know if I will do it or not. Because I am a person who really likes my job and is very comfortable when working, I don't know if I will spend more time for myself when my term ends.

* Every year, many new beauty queens appear. What will Thuy Tien do to avoid being forgotten by the audience?

- I think everyone has their own unique personality. I just be myself, doing what I find happiest, most comfortable and most outstanding. During my term, what I wanted to do the most, I have also completed. I think everyone has seen my efforts and attempts, that makes me feel happy and joyful. I think in the future there will be many beauty queens in international competitions from Vietnam. People say "whoever waves the flag will wave it", you are more famous and shine more than me, I will still live my life. As long as I feel happy and joyful. I don't care who I am compared to, because whoever has their time will be famous.

* Beauty queens often maintain their image, while Thuy Tien is very comfortable sharing everyday moments and is supported by the audience. What do you think about this?

- I feel very happy and think I am lucky. Because normally when talking about beauty queens, people will often criticize if that girl has an ugly moment. But for me, that creates positive laughter. I feel happy because what I do can create positive energy for others, I don't care about beauty or ugliness.

Thuy Tien hopes to participate in game shows and try her hand at acting after finishing her term.

* Many people when watchingThank God you're here, Who is that person?.. and assessed that Thuy Tien is very suitable to participate in game shows. Do you think you will develop yourself in this field after the end of your term?

- I want to. But I join game shows not to promote my name but because I like to experience. For example, going2 days 1 nightI get to play games and experience many things. But when I participate in game shows, I have to choose suitable programs, where I can play to the best of my ability. That means it is suitable for my ability. If I choose a game show that is beyond my ability, I think it will be difficult for me. That is the most important thing. I also want to act in movies, but I don't have a specific plan yet. Because if I act in movies, I have to study and improve more.

* After finishing your term, do you think you will enter a romantic relationship?

- I don't know yet because I can't say in advance. When I meet the right person, feel they are good or have feelings for them, then I will love them. I don't put too much emphasis on choosing a man, getting married and having children when I reach the age. I think women have the right to live a life that makes them happy. There are many people who don't get married or have children but they are still satisfied with what they have.

* Recently, Thuy Tien has been continuously "shipped" with Quang Linh. Does that make the two of you feel shy when meeting each other?

- Actually, I was a little shy later on. But when we worked together, it was all charity projects, spreading positive values ​​to the community. So if you can do good things, then keep doing them and don't be shy. That's what I've learned for myself. Even though outsiders may say this and that, if my purpose is not like that, then I don't have to be afraid. Whatever I do creates value for others, then I just keep doing it.

* Famous, beautiful and now MissPeaceInternationally, do you think that is a barrier when guys want to get to know you?

- If they are shy, they probably can't be my boyfriend (Laughs out loud).
