The National Assembly discussed the content with different opinions on the draft Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended)
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 24, at the National Assembly House, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the National Assembly listened to the Report on explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended), and discussed in the hall. Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man chaired the meeting.

The National Assembly listened to Chairwoman of the Social Committee Nguyen Thuy Anh report on the reception, explanation and revision of the draft Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended).
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee has directed careful research to maximally absorb the opinions of National Assembly deputies and relevant agencies and organizations, as well as review, absorb, and revise the wording, style, and legislative techniques in most articles and clauses of the draft Law.
The agency in charge of reviewing and the agency in charge of drafting have closely coordinated, closely following the viewpoints of law-making, promptly institutionalizing the Party's guidelines and policies on medical examination and treatment.

The revised draft Law has 12 chapters and 121 articles, 15 more than the draft submitted to the National Assembly at the 3rd Session.
Accordingly, the draft Law has absorbed the following contents: new policies; State policies on medical examination and treatment; prohibited acts; practice licenses; use of language in medical examination and treatment; operating licenses; quality standards and assessment and certification of quality for medical examination and treatment facilities; regulations related to emergency care; nutrition in medical examination and treatment; medical examination and treatment and remote medical support; mobile medical examination and treatment and family medical examination and treatment; technical expertise in medical examination and treatment, socialization in medical examination and treatment activities; prices of medical examination and treatment services.

However, this is an important draft law, which is of great interest to many voters and people. According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man: The draft law still has different opinions on access to medical examination and treatment services; regulations on expertise and techniques; shaping the health system; the relationship between the state and the market; socialization; financial autonomy mechanism, public-private partnership... so it is recommended that National Assembly deputies focus on giving opinions on the key issues mentioned in the report and other contents that deputies are interested in.

At the working session this morning, National Assembly delegates focused on giving opinions on the key issues mentioned in the report and other contents of interest to delegates, such as: State policies on medical examination and treatment; newly added policies (clinical trials in medical examination and treatment and mandatory regulations on purchasing liability insurance in medical examination and treatment).

National Assembly deputies also discussed contents such as: National Medical Council; nutrition in medical examination and treatment; technical expertise in medical examination and treatment; socialization in medical examination and treatment activities; prices of medical examination and treatment services; time to pass the draft Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended) and other issues of concern to continue perfecting the draft Law.
