(Baonghean.vn) - These roads were already seriously degraded, and after the rains, many potholes were revealed, affecting people's traffic and spoiling the image of modern Vinh city.

Compared to suburban communes, Vinh's inner city wards have a more modern traffic system and infrastructure, which has been invested and upgraded over the years. However, in reality, there are still many seriously degraded roads, which are clearly visible after the rains. In the photo: Nguyen Gia Thieu Street, from Nguyen Duy Trinh Street to Ton That Tung Street, is only about 1km long but has dozens of potholes and a seriously peeling road surface. Photo: QA
The subsidence on Nguyen Gia Thieu Street is 5 - 10cm deep, causing difficulties for people and vehicles when traveling. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh - Chairman of Hung Dung Ward People's Committee said: Nguyen Gia Thieu Street is currently the worst road in the ward. After many petitions and reflections from the people and local authorities, Vinh City has included this road in the medium-term public investment plan and will have an upgrade plan in the near future. Also in Hung Dung ward, the end of Ham Nghi street intersecting with Nguyen Vinh Loc street has a landslide that stretches about 50 meters. Ms. Phan Tu Thao, a resident on this street, said: This road is both dirty and dangerous when it rains. People can only walk close to both sides of the road to avoid falling because the entire road has degraded. Although we have reported it many times, no unit has yet fixed it. Photo: QA
The area around Vinh market, Hong Son ward has also been flooded in recent times. Up to now, many potholes on Tran Dang Ninh and Pham Nguyen Du streets have not been repaired even though these are busy business streets in the area, with a large traffic volume. At one point, small traders contributed money to fill in the sunken areas with soil and sand, but after a few rains, everything went back to the way it was. Photo: QA
Ngo Thi Nham Street, running along Quyet Mountain, Trung Do Ward, is in a similar state. According to local residents, the main reason for the deterioration is that heavy trucks carrying raw materials often travel on this street. Photo: QA
On Ngo Thi Nham Street, there are dozens of large potholes. Trung Do Ward authorities said that the locality is focusing on petitioning the city to soon upgrade the road, both to serve the traffic of the people and as a project towards the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do. Photo: QA
Ho Han Thuong Street is also considered the worst in Cua Nam Ward. Peeling and erosion have taken over the entire roadway, leaving only a small section of the road left for people to walk on. Photo: QA
There are schools on Ho Han Thuong Street, so upgrading and improving this route is necessary to ensure safety for people and vehicles passing through here. Photo: QA
