Opening of Nghe An - Gwangju Tourism Exhibition in Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) - This is an extremely important event, an opening activity, a milestone marking the connection, understanding and development in the cooperative relationship between the two localities of Vietnam and Korea.
On the afternoon of October 27, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City), Nghe An province and Gwangju city jointly organized a tourism exhibition program.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the departments: Foreign Affairs; Tourism, Culture and Sports, Industry and Trade, Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Tourism; Tourism Association and tourism businesses of Nghe An.

2022 is a milestone marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea. As part of this cooperation, on the morning of October 27, the signing ceremony of memorandums of understanding between Nghe An province and Gwangju city took place successfully.
One of the highlights in the cooperation relationship between Nghe An and Gwangju in the coming time is to promote and introduce cultural images, boost tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Korea in general and between Nghe An province and Gwangju city in particular.

As the 6th largest centrally-governed city in Korea, Gwangju is known as the city of light and is famous for its unique landscapes, arts and culture, traditional music, delicious ethnic dishes and is also a leading city in technology.
If Gwangju is considered the "paradise" of Korea, a place where tradition and modernity intersect, Nghe An province, located in the center of the North Central region, is considered a "miniature Vietnam" with the convergence of natural scenery and unique cultural traditions, a long history with potential in attracting investment, trade and tourism.

Speaking at the opening of the Nghe An - Gwangju Tourism Exhibition, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long said: "There is a saying that 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. Each photo at the exhibition today not only simply captures moments but also contains a message, a story about the history, culture, people, tourism... of each locality".
Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long hopes that this event will be a bridge to connect the people and authorities of the two localities closer, understand each other better to look towards the future, build a good and close relationship in the coming time. Wishing the Nghe An - Gwangju cooperation relationship to develop more and more effectively, extensively and sustainably.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Mayor of Gwangju City Mun Young Hoon shared his very good feelings when visiting and working in Nghe An; thanked the government and people of Nghe An for the warm welcome and cooperation over the past time with Gwangju city.
He was pleased to assess that the signing of memorandums of understanding on cooperation between the Gwangju City Government and the People's Committee of Nghe An Province; the Gwangju City Council and the People's Council of Nghe An Province is a historic event marking a new development step between the two localities; it is even more meaningful when the cooperative relationship between Gwangju and Nghe An was established this year, right on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam.

Introducing the main features of Gwangju City, Mr. Mun Young Hoon believes that there are complementary features between the two localities of Korea and Vietnam to promote cooperative relations, especially in the field of tourism; at the same time, he pledged that Gwangju City will strongly accompany Nghe An to develop further together.

To mark the meaningful event, considered one of the first bricks to build a solid bridge for cooperation and development between Nghe An and Gwangju in the future, leaders of Nghe An province and Gwangju city cut the ribbon to open the Nghe An - Gwangju Tourism Exhibition.

The Organizing Committee has selected unique and vivid photos about history, culture, people, and tourism from the two localities, giving viewers the most vivid and authentic view of Nghe An and Gwangju. All of these create an exchange in the cultural and tourism space of Nghe An - Gwangju, and at the same time, lay the foundation for the development of cooperation and friendship between the two provinces in the coming time./.
