(Baonghean.vn) - For 3 days, from October 27 to 29, in Khammouane province, Laos, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the delegation of Nghe An province attended the ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2022) and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2022).

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the journey of more than 60 years of the two Parties, two States and peoples standing side by side in the cause of national construction and defense. Thereby, further strengthening the special relationship and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

Within the framework of attending the program to celebrate the Laos - Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu and the delegation of Nghe An province came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Memorial Area in Xieng Vang village, Noong Boc district.

Offering flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at his temple in Khammouane province, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the delegation of Nghe An province and other provinces expressed their respect to President Ho Chi Minh, who laid the foundation for the special, loyal and steadfast relationship and friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

The Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Khammouane Province is a place that marks the period of President Ho Chi Minh's activities with many contributions to the revolution in the friendly country of Laos. The project is a symbol of the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos that President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane worked hard to cultivate. The project includes the following items: Memorial House, Exhibition House introducing the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ho Chi Minh with the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

The delegation then laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Laos-Vietnam Combat Alliance Memorial. Honoring and paying deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs, the outstanding sons of both nations who fell for the revolution, for the independence and freedom of the two countries, symbolizing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos.

On the morning of October 28, the delegation visited the Exhibition House, where artifacts and history of President Supha No Vong are kept - a true Lao patriotic revolutionary, President and Chairman of the Supreme People's Council of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. President Supha No Vong and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party led the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism to victory. Supha No Vong is a noble symbol of the Laos - Vietnam friendship.
