Workshop to find orientation for digital economic development for Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to supplement and update the situation and new knowledge about digital transformation in economic development, on the morning of October 27, in Vinh City, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee organized a scientific workshop on digital economy - Theory and issues raised for Nghe An.
Co-chairing the workshop were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Quang Tuan - Director of the Institute of Economics; Tran Quoc Thanh - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An. Also attending were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Opening the workshop, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave a speech emphasizing that this workshop not only reflects the new position and importance ofdigital transformationfor the economic development of the province but also a solution to remove barriers when entering a new stage of international integration.

Previously, in order to demonstrate determination and roadmap, promote the role of the entire political system in implementing the digital transformation goal, the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 09/NQ-TU on digital transformation to 2025 and orientation to 2030, in which, identifying key tasks on the pillars of digital government, digital economy and digital society. Next, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan 586/KH to specify Resolution 09 on digital transformation in the area.

Although taking the initiative and some businesses and administrative agencies have invested in digital transformation operations in some areas, in general, digital transformation in Nghe An still faces many difficulties due to limited technical infrastructure, weak resources; staff and people are not familiar with digital technology. This is the reason why Nghe An organized a workshop to clarify and provide more knowledge and theoretical information to staff and civil servants about the effectiveness and significance of digital transformation.digital economy.

Speaking at the workshop, delegates and experts presented the current situation, assessed the opportunities and potential for digital economic development in Nghe An; the influencing factors, difficulties and limitations to discuss and find solutions to help the province have a better and more focused digital transformation plan.

From their research and practical perspectives, on the basis of suggesting issues arising in directing the implementation of digital transformation, leading experts on digital transformation from the National Economics University, the National Digital Transformation Association, the Vietnam Institute of Economics, Dong A University... also proposed and suggested a number of solutions for Nghe An to choose from.

At the end of the workshop, Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh - Director of the Department of Science and Technology, on behalf of the provincial leaders and the Organizing Committee, thanked and accepted the experts' comments. At the same time, he said that this is useful consulting information with high practical value for the province to build a theoretical and practical basis to deploy solutions to carry out tasks, key goals and roadmap for digital economic development in the coming time./.
