Y-Mart Group of Korea signed a memorandum of understanding with Nghe An import-export enterprises

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 28, at the Department of Industry and Trade, a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony took place between the Korean Y-Mart Group and Nghe An import-export enterprises.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of Y-Mart Group Korea, there were Mr. Lim Chae Sang - General Director of Y-Mart Company; Na Byeong Su - Member of the Board of Directors, Head of the Group's Product Quality Control Board; Kim Chang Hyeok - Secretary of the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

On the business side, there are Hong Son Production and Trading Company Limited; Bien Quynh Joint Stock Company; Green Farm Company Limited.

At the ceremony, Y-Mart Group signed a memorandum of understanding with import-export enterprises: Hong Son Production and Trading Company Limited; Bien Quynh Joint Stock Company; Green Farm Company Limited.

Previously, Y-Mart Group had surveyed and worked with businesses and the Department of Industry and Trade.

Korea has been one of the important and potential markets for Nghe An's export enterprises for many years. According to statistics, the total two-way import-export turnover in the first 9 months of 2022 between Nghe An and Korea reached 388.9 million USD, an increase of 14.3% over the same period in 2021. Of which, the export turnover reached 219.5 million USD, accounting for 13% of the province's total export turnover of goods, ranking 3rd after the Chinese and Hong Kong markets.

Up to now, Nghe An province has had more than 54 enterprises participating in exporting to the Korean market with 8 main groups of products, including: Textiles; Electronic components; Electric wires and cables; Textile and footwear materials; Stone products of all kinds; Packaging; Processed fruits; Pine resin, pine incense;...

Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has had many solutions to support businesses to boost exports to the Korean market such as: Organizing a meeting between the Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Korea and Import-Export Enterprises of Nghe An province; providing information about the Korean market; Providing information on conditions and technical barriers of Korea for businesses...

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Cao Minh Tu wished to continue connecting with investors to cooperate in areas where the province has potential and advantages such as agriculture and aquaculture, textiles, processed foods, fish sauce, honey, rattan and bamboo products, turmeric starch, cassava flour, etc.

Propose Y-Mart Supermarket chain through capturing product information, researching cooperation to implement technical standards of the Supermarket to continue to bring some products to be sold in Korea.
