Nghe An won the Gold Medal in Men's and Women's Volleyball at the People's Teacher Sports Festival

The sports festival is a meaningful activity within the 40th Anniversary celebration series.Vietnamese Teachers' DayNovember 20, 1982 – November 20, 2022.

This is a sports festival with a record number of athletes and delegations participating with 1,378 athletes from 94 units, of which the Department of Education and Training has 40 units, the rest are universities, academies, colleges of education and the Ministry of Education and Training.

After 5 days of exciting and enthusiastic competition, according to the organizers, the athletes demonstrated a noble spirit of sportsmanship. The professional quality of the competitions was recognized to be increasingly improved and some teams significantly excelled in terms of achievements.

During the competition, the teams also affirmed their careful preparation of forces and this is the motivation to further develop the sports training movement in the coming time.

The sports festival is also an opportunity to meet, exchange, and share experiences in work to work towards effective education and training in accordance with the right goals and meanings.

At the end of the sports festival, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 68 sets of medals to outstanding athletes in the competitions of 4 events. Of which, Badminton had 18 sets of medals, Table Tennis had 24 sets of medals, Tennis had 25 sets of medals and Volleyball had 2 sets of medals.

At this Sports Festival, the athletes from Nghe An Department of Education and Training achieved outstanding results with Gold Medal in Men's and Women's Volleyball, Silver Medal in Women's Badminton, Bronze Medal in Men's Doubles Table Tennis Management.

Vinh University won the Silver Medal in women's tennis over 46 years old, Silver Medal in men's table tennis over 50 years old and Bronze Medal in mixed doubles leadership.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the First, Second and Third prizes for the contest entries. The Vietnam Education Trade Union also awarded Certificates of Merit to the units that participated in the successful organization of the sports festival, namely Vinh University and the Nghe An Department of Education and Training.

In addition, Certificates of Merit were awarded to 3 units that won First, Second and Third prizes for the whole delegation, namely First prize - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, Second prize - Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports and Third prize belongs to Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training.

Individuals and groups winning Gold and Silver Medals in the categories also received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Education Trade Union.
