Politburo members: Vo Van Thuong - Standing member of the Secretariat; Truong Thi Mai - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee attended the ceremony. Also attending were Party Central Committee Secretaries: Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Committee; Le Minh Hung - Chief of the Party Central Committee Office. Also attending the ceremony were Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Party Central Committee members, leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and officials and Party members of the President's Office.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent congratulatory flower baskets.

On behalf of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat, comrade Vo Van Thuong respectfully presented the 40-year Party membership badge to comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing member of the Party Secretariat Vo Van Thuong emphasized that for more than 40 years in the Party, regardless of the circumstances or working position, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc has always maintained the will of a Communist, absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; steadfast in Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, the goals of national independence and socialism; constantly studying, cultivating, training, upholding the vanguard, exemplary spirit, sense of responsibility and revolutionary enthusiasm, working style closely, specifically, decisively for the common cause; always giving due attention to the grassroots, especially remote, isolated and difficult areas.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc has been leading the entire Party, people and army to overcome difficulties and challenges, gain many important achievements, with outstanding marks, and build our Party to be increasingly clean and strong.

The Standing Secretariat affirmed and emphasized: At every level and agency he has worked for, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc has always been respected and loved by his brothers, comrades and colleagues for his sincerity, enthusiasm and concern for everyone. Comrade Vo Van Thuong respectfully congratulated and expressed his wish that President Nguyen Xuan Phuc would continue to contribute more to the revolutionary cause of the Party, State and People.

Expressing his emotion and honor to receive the noble 40-year Party membership badge, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc respectfully thanked General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Standing member of the Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, and leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and leaders of central and local agencies for their attention, good feelings, and congratulations on this occasion.

The President sincerely thanks the companionship, help and sharing of comrades, compatriots and soldiers nationwide in general; including generations of comrades, colleagues, brothers and friends at agencies and localities where the President has worked and lived in particular over the past many terms.

Sharing about his time of studying, training, overcoming difficulties, and participating in revolutionary activities from an early age, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed: "Under the leadership and guidance of the Party, in addition to my own efforts, it is also thanks to the love, support, and wholehearted help of many comrades and compatriots over the past 40 years that I, a student from the South who gathered in the North, have been able to grow up to where I am today. I am always grateful and keep that in mind."

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed that receiving the 40-year Party membership badge is truly a great honor and pride for him personally during the entire process of studying, training, cultivating and striving to work under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam.

This is also an opportunity to "look back at ourselves, remind ourselves to continue to practice and strive more to work together with the leadership team to build a rich, civilized, and developed Vietnam in the spirit of the 13th National Party Congress Resolution...", Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized.

The President expressed his firm belief that, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the entire Party, people and army will successfully fulfill the goals and tasks of national development set out by the 13th National Party Congress, striving to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic, prosperous and strong Vietnam, steadily advancing towards socialism.
