Donated 250 million VND to the 'Fund to support patients with serious illnesses' of Vinh Medical University Hospital

On the evening of November 16, Vinh Medical University Hospital organized the program "Mobilizing Fund to support patients with serious illnesses".

Vinh Medical University Hospital was established on July 5, 2018. Up to now, the hospital has deployed advanced techniques in treatment. In particular, the hospital has also deployed an emergency resuscitation department since August 2020 and deployed periodic hemodialysis since January 21, 2021. Up to now, there have been nearly 60 patients on regular hemodialysis and many critically ill patients at risk of death such as acute pulmonary edema, acute respiratory failure, malignant bronchial asthma, etc.

During the examination and inpatient treatment process at the hospital, we found that there were many patients with serious illnesses who were in extremely difficult circumstances, many patients were from remote areas, ethnic minority areas, people with disabilities, and disadvantaged people who could not afford hospital fees and other expenses such as travel, accommodation, etc. Sharing with these difficult circumstances, hospital staff directly supported and donated to help them reduce the burden of illness and alleviate some of their difficulties.

Along with that, in recent years, many philanthropists have accompanied the hospital, joining hands to care for and support poor patients, helping to reduce their economic difficulties and the burden of illness; especially patients on periodic hemodialysis, those who are struggling every day with end-stage renal failure, serious illnesses that are difficult to recover from, strokes...

The hospital has also established a "Fund to support patients with serious illnesses" to call on the community, philanthropists, hospital staff, lecturers, and students to join hands to support poor patients.

After 1 month of campaigning, many organizations and individuals have donated to the Fund, helping poor patients and patients with serious illnesses.

With the hope that this noble gesture will continue to spread in the community, at the ceremony, the leaders of Vinh Medical University Hospital called on individuals, organizations, philanthropists, hospital staff, lecturers, and students of the school with the spirit of "mutual love", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", to join hands to support and help poor patients, patients with serious illnesses, especially patients with end-stage renal failure; so that they can reduce the burden of illness, prolong their lives, and improve their quality of life.
