National Assembly delegates attend the Great Unity Day and meet voters in Quynh Lap
(Baonghean.vn) - Continuing the voter contact program after the 4th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on the morning of November 18, delegates from the Nghe An National Assembly delegation had a voter contact session in conjunction with attending the National Great Unity Day in Son Long village, Quynh Lap commune (Hoang Mai town).
Attending the meeting with voters were National Assembly deputies from the National Assembly delegation in Nghe An, including Mr. Pham Phu Binh - Standing member of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee; Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Standing Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union. Also attending were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council; representatives of the leaders of Hoang Mai town and Quynh Lap commune.

In the joyful, exciting atmosphere ofNational Unity Day, the National Assembly delegates shared and rejoiced with the people.
Son Long village has 329 households with 1,542 people, of which 65 households migrated from Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu) to live here since 1977. By 2019, the village was merged from Tan Long and Lam Son villages. The main occupations of the village are fishing, forestry and aquaculture.

Implementing the movement of the whole people uniting to build a new cultural life in residential areas, in recent years, the village has had many solutions to promote socio-economic development. Along with the main occupation of fishing, the village and commune also encourage their children to work abroad. By 2022, the total average income per capita will be 38.7 million VND/person; 100% of people of working age will have jobs; the poverty rate will be 3.6%; near-poor households will be 4.8%; the rate of rich and well-off households will be 70%. Thanks to the mobilization of fishermen to switch to large fishing vessels, 11 boats with a capacity of 90 CV or more, 5 boats with a capacity of less than 90 CV, in addition to the main occupation of anchovy fishing, every year hundreds of boats of the village participate in offshore fishing.

At the conference, on behalf of the provincial National Assembly delegates, delegate Pham Phu Binh warmly congratulated and highly appreciated the spirit of solidarity and unanimity of the Son Long village community in recent times.
Briefly reporting the results of the 4th Session of the 15th National Assembly to voters of Son Long and Quynh Lap villages, delegate Pham Phu Binh said: After 21 working days in the last session, the National Assembly completed many important agendas. Typically, it assessed and approved socio-economic indicators, budget revenue and expenditure, approved personnel of ministries; gave opinions and approved 6 Laws, 3 Resolutions; gave opinions, adjusted and supplemented 7 draft laws and revised 1 draft Law. Notably, it approved the Law on practicing thrift and combating waste; Law on implementing democracy regulations at the grassroots level... At the same time, it decided to postpone the approval of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment to prepare more thoroughly.

On the occasion of attending the National Great Unity Day and meeting voters in the village, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation supported 60 million VND for the village to build a Great Unity house; presented 5 million VND to the residential area and 10 gifts to poor and near-poor households in the area.
