World Cup 2022: Nearly 3 million tickets sold for matches, record revenue

According to AFP news agency, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) said on November 20 that nearly 3 million World Cup tickets had been sold, helping raise FIFA's revenue over the past four years to a record 7.5 billion USD.
A FIFA spokesman said as of opening dayWorld Cup 2022, 2.95 million tickets were sold.

Despite negative publicity surrounding Qatar hosting the tournament, fans still want to travel to the Middle Eastern country to enjoy the most exciting football festival on the planet, lasting 29 days with 64 matches.
With the above figures, the number of spectators coming to watch the World Cup live in Qatar has surpassed the tournament in Russia in 2018, selling more than 2.4 million tickets.
According to FIFA, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Argentina, France, India and Brazil are the leading markets for 2022 World Cup ticket sales.
