Russia repels UAV attack in Crimea, US prepares to disburse $4.5 billion to Ukraine
Russia has repelled two drone attacks on the Crimean peninsula. Meanwhile, the US is preparing to release $4.5 billion in economic aid to Ukraine.
According to the Guardian, on November 22 (local time), the head of the Crimean government, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that Russian forces had successfully prevented two Ukrainian UAV attacks.

"One of the two raids targeted a thermal power plant near the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol. The other raid took place offshore, and all enemy UAVs were downed. The situation in Crimea has temporarily stabilized, but all armed units are still on high alert," Razvozhaev said.
Currently, Ukraine has not made any official comment on the incident.
US prepares to disburse $4.5 billion aid package to Ukraine
According to Reuters, on November 22 (local time), US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that the process of disbursing a $4.5 billion economic aid package to Ukraine will begin in the coming weeks.

The US Treasury Department said the package was approved by Congress as part of a bill to fund the Ukrainian government. The money will help Kiev stabilize the country's finances, maintain government operations, and pay for services and pensions for Ukrainians.
The $4.5 billion will be sent to Ukraine through the US State Department's International Development Agency (IDA).
Ukraine accuses Russia of wanting to use cold as a "weapon of mass destruction"
According to Pravda, at a meeting of the French Mayors Association on November 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of using the winter cold as a "weapon of mass destruction".
"By attacking energy infrastructure, Russia wants Ukraine to not be able to survive the cold winter. I call on you to help in a concrete way and support towns and communities against Moscow's actions," Mr. Zelensky said.
Also in his speech, President Zelensky called on the French Mayors Association to send generators, support mine clearance operations and provide more medical equipment to Ukraine.
