Nghe An will become an attractive tourist destination
(Baonghean.vn) - Considered as "Vietnam in miniature", with full sea, islands, plains, midlands, and mountains, and possessing a synchronous traffic infrastructure system, Nghe An is becoming a destination attracting experiential tourism as well as real estate investment.
The push from the startdevelopinfrastructure
As the fourth most populous province in Vietnam, the largest in area, and located in the center of the North Central region, Nghe An has a fairly complete transportation system, from railways, roads, waterways to airways. In particular, this sector is currently continuing to be invested in.
In 2022, many projects with large investment capital will develop infrastructure in Nghe An. Some key traffic projects that are being urgently implemented include the 83 km coastal route from Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) to Ha Tinh; the traffic route connecting National Highway 7C (Do Luong) to Ho Chi Minh Road (Tan Ky)... In addition to existing main traffic routes such as Ho Chi Minh Road, National Highway 1A..., according to the plan, the Hanoi - Vinh expressway is expected to be put into operation in 2030, which will shorten the travel time from Hanoi to Vinh.

The Government has agreed to invest in upgrading and expanding Vinh International Airport 2.5 times larger than the current one; building auxiliary works for Vinh International Airport with a total cost of more than VND 10,700 billion; building Cua Lo deep-water port with a scale of VND 3,300 billion; building Hanoi - Vientiane expressway (passing through Nghe An)... The province has also just announced the planning and called for investment in a series of new industrial parks and urban areas...
These major projects will bring Nghe An the opportunity to strongly develop its economy and services, build a complete chain of urban spaces with local characteristics and identity, attractiveness, environmental friendliness, and improve the quality of the living environment.
Abundant natural resources
Furthermore, in addition to its rich history with over 2,000 historical relics and scenic spots, Nghe An is also blessed with natural beauty as it is home to a World Biosphere Reserve (recognized by UNESCO); there are many beautiful beaches stretching over 82 km of coastline. The number of hours of sunshine is high, making it very convenient for developing year-round resort tourism. The diversity of tourism resources in Nghe An is also reflected in caves, waterfalls, etc., which are destinations for tourists who love to explore nature, hike, row boats, and experience local culture.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first 9 months of this year, Nghe An ranked 7th in the country in attracting tourists. Information from the Nghe An Investment and Tourism Promotion Center said that in the first 10 months of the year, the number of tourists to Nghe An is estimated at 6.14 million, an increase of 244% over the same period in 2021. Most tourists choose to stay in Vinh City.
However, many opinions say that due to the lack of modern service infrastructure; different entertainment areas; undeveloped night-time economy and especially the lack of large-scale luxury real estate projects, visitors to Nghe An are mainly domestic visitors, short-stay... Service quality and capacity to welcome international and high-end visitors are still limited, tourism products are not diverse...

The goal of Nghe An Tourism Industry by 2025 is to attract 6.0 - 6.3 million tourists with accommodation, including 300 thousand international visitors; by 2030, tourism will basically become the spearhead economic sector of the province, creating a driving force to promote the development of other industries and fields; making Nghe An one of the tourist centers of the North Central region and an attractive destination of the whole country.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Chairman of Nghe An Province Real Estate Association, this goal is completely achievable thanks to the determination of local authorities, along with the participation of many large enterprises such as Vingroup, Lotte Vietnam...
In particular, in Vinh city, the founder of Ecopark is implementing the Eco Central Park ecological urban complex of nearly 200 hectares - the largest urban project in the city, meeting the entertainment, experience and relaxation needs of millions of tourists. The project is expected to become the perfect piece for Nghe An tourism to "take off" when completed.
