Gasoline prices continue to fall by more than 1,000 VND.
Except for fuel oil, which decreased by 830 VND per kilogram, other gasoline and diesel products all dropped by over 1,000 VND per liter from 3 PM today.
According to adjustments by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, from this afternoon, the price of RON 95-III gasoline will decrease by 1,080 VND to 22,700 VND per liter; E5 RON 92 will be 21,670 VND per liter, equivalent to a decrease of 1,000 VND.
Oil prices also decreased. Diesel saw the biggest drop (1,590 VND) to 23,210 VND per liter; kerosene is now priced at 23,560 VND, down 1,080 VND. Mazut also fell to 13,950 VND, 830 VND lower than 10 days ago.
Despite the significant price reduction, each liter of diesel is still 510 VND higher than the price of RON 95-III gasoline.
Along with the price adjustment, the operator increased the levy on each liter of gasoline by 50-200 VND. Specifically, the levy for RON 95-III increased to 400 VND per liter, and for E5 RON 92 to 300 VND per liter.
After maintaining zero contributions to the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for diesel and kerosene for several periods, authorities have reinstated contributions to the Fund in today's adjustment, at 700 and 300 VND per liter respectively. The contribution rate for fuel oil (mazut) is 500 VND per kilogram, an increase of 200 VND compared to the adjustment on November 21st.
The fund's expenditure level remains at 0 VND per liter/kilogram for gasoline and diesel.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, world refined petroleum prices have decreased by 6-11% over the past 10 days due to developments in the Covid-19 epidemic in China and the plan by Western countries to impose price caps on Russian oil. On average, RON 95 decreased by 7.15% to 93.965 USD per barrel; diesel decreased by 11.15% to 117.69 USD per barrel; and fuel oil also fell by 8.6% to 391.780 USD per ton...
In today's price adjustment, the cost of gasoline and diesel remains unchanged from November 11th: E5 RON 92 is currently 640 VND per liter; RON 95 is 1,280 VND per liter.
