Mr. Son: 16 planned targets were met or exceeded.
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2022, with strong consensus and intensified emulation throughout the political system, Anh Son district achieved and exceeded 16 planned targets. The local economy continued to develop, with a growth rate of 8.62%.
In 2022, the total production value of Anh Son district was estimated at VND 7,455 billion, reaching 97.5% of the plan, an increase of 9.5% compared to the same period. Value added was estimated at VND 3,451 billion, reaching 97.1% of the plan, an increase of 8.6% compared to the same period. Notably, the industrial and construction sector is estimated to have increased by 11.9% compared to the same period. The service sector is estimated to have increased by 9% compared to the same period. Average per capita income reached VND 43.7 million/year.
Agricultural production in Anh Son district has grown significantly. Popular crops such as tea, sugarcane, vegetables, and oranges have met or exceeded targets in terms of area, yield, and output. The value of production (at constant 2010 prices) is estimated at VND 1,729.5 billion, an increase of 4.8% compared to the same period.

The total area planted with annual crops reached 16,348 hectares, achieving 100.0% of the plan, an increase of 1.1% compared to the same period last year. The total grain production is estimated at 68,634 tons, reaching 101% of the plan. The movement for winter crop production, development of OCOP products, and application of science and technology in production received attention and achieved high efficiency.
The National Target Program for Building New Rural Areas has been intensified with many movements. The district focuses on guiding and resolving difficulties and obstacles for localities striving to achieve the standards in 2022. During the year, communes mobilized and integrated an estimated 210 billion VND to implement the program.
Industrial production value is estimated at VND 2,645.6 billion, reaching 94.7% of the plan, an increase of 12% compared to the same period last year. Construction industry production value is estimated at VND 1,105,010 million, reaching 104.1% of the plan, an increase of 12% compared to the same period last year.
Several industrial and handicraft products saw significant increases in 2022, including: refined white sugar (estimated at 5,017 tons, up 3% compared to the same period); liquid glucose (estimated at 19,038 tons, up 36% compared to the same period); cement (estimated at 570,000 tons, up 0.9% compared to the same period); tea (estimated at 5,350 tons, up 4.9% compared to the same period); cassava starch (estimated at 37,000 tons, up 5.7% compared to the same period); and ready-mix concrete (estimated at 43,000 m³).3, up 13.2% compared to the same period...
The district has completed investment procedures for medium-term public investment projects for the 2021-2022 period. The total planned capital allocated as of October 31, 2022, is VND 341,355 billion, with a disbursement rate of 50.62%.

The accelerated implementation, completion, or restart of major projects in the area has created enthusiasm and confidence among the people, such as: the Dinh Son road project, the Mavin Group's livestock farm, the inauguration of Anh Son Pagoda, the commencement of construction of the District People's Council and People's Committee headquarters; the commencement of construction of the town's headquarters; the restart of the MDF factory in Khai Son commune, etc.
The total value of production in the trade sector is estimated at VND 1,972,150 million, reaching 99.2% of the plan, an increase of 9% compared to the same period last year. Total retail sales of goods and services are estimated at VND 1,205,650 million, reaching 95.2% of the plan, an increase of 2.8% compared to the same period last year; revenue from accommodation and food services reached VND 155,650 million, reaching 100.6% of the plan, an increase of 9.2% compared to the same period last year.
During the year, the district organized and implemented land clearance for key projects in the area: Expansion of the Vietnam-Laos Martyrs' Cemetery; the Cay Chanh New Urban Area in Dinh Son commune; 110KV power lines and substations, rural infrastructure in Hoa Son commune…; projects on land subdivision planning in Hung Son and Long Son communes…
The work of issuing land use right certificates and resolving outstanding cases has been focused on. As of November 15, 2022, the district has issued 702 initial land use right certificates, reaching a rate of 55.9%, and has processed the exchange of 1,124 land use right certificates.
Total budget revenue this year is very good, estimated at 133.9 billion VND, reaching 203% of the provincial budget target, 103.8% of the People's Council budget target, and an increase of 19.9% compared to the same period last year. Budget expenditures basically meet the political tasks in the locality.
In the field of culture and education: Anh Son district's education sector continues to maintain its excellent performance at the provincial level. The development of tourism and services is prioritized, focusing on heritage, spiritual, ecological, and community-based tourism. The district successfully coordinated the organization of the "Drinking Water, Remembering the Source" festival in 2022 and the "Immortal Epic" program commemorating the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day. During this event, 652 groups with a total of 47,285 visitors came to visit the Vietnam-Laos Martyrs' Cemetery. It is projected that 3,200 new jobs will be created in 2022, including 600 for overseas employment. National defense and security remain strong.
However, some targets have not been met, such as the New Rural Development program, production value, and average per capita income, due to both subjective and objective reasons in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Sang, Secretary of the Anh Son District Party Committee, stated: "2023 is a significant year, marking the 200th anniversary of the name Anh Son and the 60th anniversary of the district's separation and establishment. These events will create new impetus for the people in emulation movements to develop socio-economic aspects."
Mr. Son will promote economic development in all sectors, focusing on effectively attracting investment, mobilizing and effectively utilizing resources for development; and effectively implementing administrative reforms associated with digital transformation.
The district will also focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of programs, projects, and plans to carry out the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; improving people's lives, reducing poverty, creating jobs for workers, and ensuring social security; maintaining political stability and social order and safety; enhancing the leadership and guidance capacity of Party committees and organizations at all levels; improving the capacity and effectiveness of the direction and management of the government at all levels; and promoting emulation to complete major plans for the year.
