Nghe An: Will organize a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected by the 18th Provincial People's Council at the end of 2023 session

Accordingly, in preparation for the 11th Session, the regular session at the end of 2022 of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has developed and issued reports, submissions and draft resolutions to submit to the Session.

In 2023, the 18th Provincial People's Council will hold two regular sessions. The mid-year session is scheduled to be held in early July 2023 to: Review reports; review and approve draft resolutions submitted to the session; review the thematic monitoring report on compliance with environmental protection laws in the province; conduct questioning activities and review the responses to questions; approve the Provincial People's Council's monitoring program in 2024 and review and decide on other matters within its authority.

At the year-end session, scheduled to be held in early December 2023, the Provincial People's Council will review the reports; review and approve draft resolutions submitted to the session to consider the plan to organize the regular session of the Provincial People's Council in 2024.

At the same time, at the regular session at the end of 2023, the Provincial People's Council will review the Thematic Supervision Report on the implementation of a number of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on mechanisms and policies for investment in socio-economic development in the province from the beginning of the 2021-2026 term to present; conduct questioning activities and consider answering questions; review and approve draft resolutions submitted to the session and review and decide on other contents under its authority. In particular, at this session, the Provincial People's Council will organize a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected by the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.

Also at the working session, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Nam Dinh presented a number of other contents to be submitted to the 11th Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, including: amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulations on a number of spending regimes to ensure the operations of People's Councils at all levels in Nghe An province, issued together with Resolution No. 34/2021/NQ-HDND dated December 9, 2021 of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council; draft Resolution on resolving voters' opinions and recommendations at the 7th session of the Provincial People's Council.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council submitted to the session a draft Resolution on strengthening state management of minerals in Nghe An province; a draft Resolution on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on land recovery and conversion of land use purposes in accordance with the provisions of the Land Law to implement works and investment projects in Nghe An province and a draft Resolution on establishing a Thematic Supervision Team on establishing a Thematic Supervision Team "Compliance with the Law on Environmental Protection in Nghe An province" to implement the 2023 Supervision Program of the Provincial People's Council, for the 11th session to consider and decide.
