(Baonghean.vn) - According to an announcement from the People's Committee of Ky Son district, the Nam Can International Border Gate border market will temporarily suspend operations for two sessions in December 2022 to facilitate political activities of neighboring Laos.
On December 6th, the People's Committee of Ky Son district issued Notice No. 231/TB-UBND regarding the temporary suspension of border market activities at Nam Can International Border Gate (Ky Son).
Specifically, the border markets at the Nam Can International Border Gate will be closed for two sessions on Sunday, December 11, 2022, and Sunday, December 18, 2022. The reason for the closure is to allow Xieng Khouang province and Nong Het district of Laos to hold major political events.
The border markets at Nam Can International Border Gate will resume normal operations on Sundays after December 18, 2022.

The Nam Can International Border Gate Border Market (also known as the Nam Can Border Market) is located on the border between Vietnam and Laos, about 20 km from Muong Xen town (Ky Son district) and about 320 km from Vinh city.
