Vinh City promotes urban beautification to celebrate 60th anniversary

According to plan, in 2023,Vinh citywill celebrate the 60th anniversary of its founding and the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh. This is a major event of great significance, through the organization of commemorative activities to propagate, educate, raise awareness, understanding and pride in the historical and cultural traditions of the city among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.

Besides, this is also an opportunity to promote the image, attract the attention of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals, thereby mobilizing social resources to contribute to building Vinh city to be more civilized and developed.

In preparation for the celebration in 2023, urban beautification work in the city is being accelerated. The city has selected a number of key projects to focus on directing implementation, ensuring completion progress and organizing the installation of signs to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the city's founding and the 235th anniversary of Phoenix Trung Do - Vinh.

Specifically, the city will renovate the route from Vinh Airport to Phuong Dong Hotel; invest in the construction of Ly Thuong Kiet and Le Mao extended routes in phase 2; and renovate Phan Dinh Phung, Tran Phu, and Quang Trung routes (including sidewalks, lighting systems, decorative electricity, flower beds, trees, etc.).

Renovate the following streets: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Hong Phong, Nguyen Van Cu (sidewalks, lighting, decorative lighting,...). Renovate, upgrade, and plant new lawns, trees, ornamental plants, etc. Decorate with fresh flower carpets and ornamental plants to create highlights at Phuong Dong roundabout and Truong Thi street, walking street, etc.

The city also directed units and departments to focus on renovating the urban lighting system, LED lights to decorate buildings in the city and calling for social investment to invest in some more central roads; Renovating the Quang Trung Emperor Temple and renovating the road leading to the temple; Coordinating with the City Fatherland Front Committee to launch an urban beautification movement in each alley, residential area...

In addition, the city also requested departments to coordinate with Cua Nam ward to complete the culinary street to put it into operation before August 2023.

For wards and communes, each ward and commune, based on its capacity, chooses to build at least 1-2 projects, ensuring completion and installation of welcome signs before September 2023.

Currently, wards and communes in the city have selected key projects to implement. For example, Hong Son ward has built 2 cultural houses in block 23 and Hong Dieu block, paved 4 roads in block 10, and upgraded the sidewalks on Cao Xuan Huy street. Wards such as Truong Thi, Hung Binh... are implementing the construction of flag streets associated with urban beautification in all blocks...
