Deputy coach of Song Lam Nghe An Club - Duc Thang joins Hong Linh Ha Tinh

On December 20, coach Duc Thang confirmed to Nghe An Newspaper reporters that he had officially joined Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club. Mr. Thang also said that at the new club he will play the role of assistant coach to coach Nguyen Thanh Cong.

Coach Nguyen Duc Thang shared: "Currently, I am on a training trip with Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club in Da Nang. I really want to devote my remaining time to Song Lam Nghe An Club, but in our coaching profession, moving from one club to another is also normal."

Talking about the upcoming goal, Coach Nguyen Duc Thang emphasized: "I will try to contribute to Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club in the new season, and at the same time help this club become better and better in the 2023 V-League season".

Coach Nguyen Duc Thang was born in 1977 and grew up at Song Lam Nghe Club. Before moving to coaching, Nguyen Duc Thang was the number 1 goalkeeper of Song Lam Nghe An from 1998 to 2003.

In 2004, Duc Thang moved to play for LG Hanoi ACB Club.

In 2009, Duc Thang returned to play for Song Lam Nghe An. At the end of the 2011 season, he retired and switched to coaching.

In 2012, Song Lam Nghe An football team appointed Duc Thang as assistant to head coach Nguyen Huu Thang. In 2014, Duc Thang continued to be assistant to coach Ngo Quang Truong.

At the end of 2016, Duc Thang was officially appointed as the head coach of Song Lam Nghe An. Duc Thang's outstanding achievements as the head coach of Song Lam Nghe An were winning the 2017 National Cup; and a series of 8 consecutive wins in the 2018 V-League, which is a record of the V-League.

Before leaving the Nghe An team, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang was the goalkeeper coach for the first team of Song Lam Nghe An. After Mr. Thang left, Mr. Duc Anh was chosen as the goalkeeper coach to replace this coach born in 1977.
