On the morning of December 22nd, the Department of Education and Training held the closing ceremony for the competition.Excellent teachersProvincial-level primary school competition in 2022.

This competition has the largest number of participating teachers ever, with 415 contestants, including 173 teachers from 10 mountainous districts and 242 teachers from 11 lowland districts. The oldest teacher was born in 1971 and the youngest in 1998.

Throughout the two competition rounds, in the "Presentation of Measures to Improve Teaching Quality" round, the teachers demonstrated their concern and dedication to classroom teaching.

Contents ofThese measures all stem from the practical teaching experiences of schools and address topical issues necessary for teaching, focusing specifically on several groups of measures such as: improving the quality of subject teaching, teaching topics and lessons; nurturing gifted and weak students; applying software to improve teaching quality, effectively exploiting and utilizing teaching materials available on the Internet; coordinating with families and social organizations to improve learning quality…

Results: 407 out of 414 teachers met the requirements for the "Presentation of measures to improve teaching quality" section of the competition, qualifying them to participate in the "Practical teaching session" section.

In the "Practical Teaching" section of the competition, 265 teachers competed in basic subjects, while 142 teachers competed in English, Information Technology, Music, Fine Arts, and Physical Education. The practical teaching sessions showed that the teachers had meticulously prepared their lesson plans and teaching aids, which were generally appropriate for the lesson objectives, the students' needs, and the requirements of educational reform. The teachers also demonstrated a high level of proficiency and effectiveness in applying information technology, teaching equipment, and learning materials to support their lessons.

Through these lessons, students have proactively undertaken learning tasks, actively and flexibly presenting, exchanging, and interacting with their peers and teachers during class, creating enthusiasm.

After nearly a month of competition, according to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the competition successfully selected and honored truly capable and dedicated teachers. As a result, 397 teachers were awarded the title of Excellent Primary School Teacher at the provincial level in 2022. This is a well-deserved reward recognizing teachers who are always dedicated to their profession, diligently studying and improving their expertise; tirelessly striving for innovation, creativity, and selfless contribution to the teaching profession.

The competition also provided an opportunity for teachers to demonstrate their abilities, learn, and exchange experiences; to identify, commend, and replicate advanced models, contributing to improving the effectiveness of lessons, organizing teaching and learning activities, and promoting emulation movements in schools, creating momentum for the development of education throughout the sector, and at the same time, serving as a basis for evaluating the current state of the teaching staff, meeting the requirements of educational reform.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh emphasized that, besides invested infrastructure, teachers remain the core factor determining the quality of education. Therefore, following this competition, the head of the department requested that education and training departments and schools continue to organize evaluations, draw lessons learned, and find effective solutions in building and training the teaching staff. At the same time, they should continue to improve the quality of teaching activities in schools and actively prepare in all aspects for the next competition to achieve higher and more comprehensive results.

Congratulating the teachers on their achievements, the Director of the Department of Education and Training urged them that the honored individuals are just the beginning, and that they should spread their intelligence, creative thinking, dedication, and opportunities for character development among students, and creatively adapt their teaching to the new general education curriculum. In the context of current digital transformation, teachers should diligently exchange experiences, self-study, and conduct research to improve the quality of their lessons. Teachers should invest in high-quality digital lesson plans to support new teaching methods, and then share them with teachers in disadvantaged areas to ensure equal quality across regions.

At the closing ceremony, the Provincial Labor Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 teachers with the best achievements in the competition. The Department of Education and Training, the Education Sector Trade Union, and the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning also awarded prizes to 7 collectives, including the Education and Training Departments of Cua Lo town, Vinh city, Dien Chau, Thai Hoa town, Con Cuong, Yen Thanh, and Quy Chau, and 127 individuals with high results in this year's competition.
