(Baonghean.vn) - Amidst the noise of saws, planers, and splitters; amidst the clutter of bamboo, there are workers diligently following each planing and cutting line to create unique bamboo products. And the most emotional image is the pair of crutches neatly arranged next to their seats...

After a traffic accident, La Van Thang, a Dan Lai ethnic in Khe Nong village, Chau Khe commune, had to amputate one leg to survive. Being used to setting traps and hunting with a crossbow to make a living, Thang had a hard time when approaching carpentry. "Others try 1, I have to try 10", Thang shared. That persistent effort has helped Thang become a skilled craftsman, the main worker in the workshop. Photo: Thanh Phuc
After many events, having given up and resigned to fate, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung in Khe Choang village, Chau Khe commune has found joy in his work. Through his talented hands and "professional" eyes, rough bamboo roots have been "transformed" into beautiful and unique tea sets, water cups, flower vases... Photo: Thanh Phuc

Making bamboo handicrafts, in addition to being skillful, meticulous, and careful, requires creativity. It is difficult for able-bodied people, but even more difficult for people with disabilities. However, their love for the profession and their desire to live a useful life have helped them overcome obstacles and become skilled craftsmen. Photo: Thanh Phuc

Having a job and a stable income not only helps disabled people like Hung, Thang, and Vinh cover their living expenses but also helps them overcome their inferiority complex and strive to live a useful life. Photo: Thanh Phuc
