Nghe An Trade Union focuses on developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in 2023
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 26, the Provincial Federation of Labor held a Conference to summarize activities in 2022 and deploy key tasks in 2023.

2022 is considered a success for the organization.Nghe An Trade Unionwith 14/15 assigned targets achieved and exceeded. Implementing the theme "Caring for jobs and lives of workers; striving to fulfill the highest goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 12th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor", during the year, many activities to care for the welfare of union members and workers continued to be focused on by Nghe An provincial trade unions at all levels with many welfare agreements signed. In particular, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Tiger 2022, Nghe An trade unions at all levels spent more than 24.8 billion VND on Tet care, with 80,893 workers, visiting and supporting activities for collectives and union members in difficult circumstances, affected by floods, frontline units against the epidemic, union members affected by the Covid-19 epidemic were promptly implemented.
In addition, the State's policies towards workers have been well implemented, and functional agencies have regularly coordinated to participate in inspecting, examining, and supervising the implementation of the Labor Law and trade unions. Propaganda and education work to raise awareness for workers, civil servants, and laborers at all levels of trade unions has achieved many encouraging results. The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions has had many positive changes.

Workers' Month 2023 activities have many highlights, patriotic emulation movements continue to be promoted, direction and implementation have many innovations, women's activities are organized with many practical activities. In addition, inspection, supervision, finance and foreign affairs work are also focused on.
With the theme of "Focusing on developing union members and establishing grassroots unions", Nghe An Trade Union has set 7 key tasks for 2023. In particular, the first thing to focus on is to successfully organize the Trade Union Congresses at all levels for the 2023-2028 term, towards the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 19th Congress of Nghe An Trade Union. At the same time, strengthen the building of a strong trade union organization associated with improving the qualityunion member, develop union members, establish grassroots unions, diversify propaganda and education work among workers, civil servants and laborers. It is necessary to organize propaganda activities on major holidays in 2023, implement the 2023 theme of "Promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", participate in ensuring sustainable employment, improving the income of cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members and laborers. After listening to the video report summarizing activities in 2022 and deploying tasks in 2023, delegates had quality discussions, comments and recommendations to find solutions to achieve targets in the coming time.
On this occasion, the conference also awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 1 individual, the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 3 collectives and the Emulation Flag of the Provincial Federation of Labor to 4 collectives with outstanding achievements in 2022. The conference also presented farewell flowers to 2 members of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term XVIII.

Concluding the conference, comrade Kha Van Tam acknowledged the results achieved by Nghe An trade unions at all levels, reviewed 4 lessons learned from 2022 and the limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome. He suggested2023, following those achievements, Nghe An trade unions at all levels should not be satisfied with the existing results but should proactively develop new plans with the highest determination. It is necessary to focus on implementing the annual theme and further clarify the role of caring and representing the trade union organization for workers. In addition, efforts should be made to build a strong enough financial resource to meet practical requirements in the coming time.
