Nghe An province collected 21,152 billion VND in budget revenue in 2022.
(Baonghean.vn) - As of December 25, 2022, Nghe An's budget revenue reached 21,152 billion VND, an increase of 40.9% compared to the provincial People's Council's projected target, exceeding the estimated figure reported at the 11th session of the provincial People's Council.
On the morning of December 26th, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the regular December meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to hear and give opinions on the results of socio-economic development in 2022; and discuss solutions and tasks to implement the Provincial People's Council Resolution on the socio-economic development plan for 2023.

Attending the session were Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the committees of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of departments, agencies and 21 localities.
The reports and speeches at the meeting highlighted specific and noteworthy achievements in December and throughout 2022. They also identified limitations, difficulties, obstacles, and their causes. Based on this, key tasks and solutions were proposed to strongly promote socio-economic development and ensure national defense and security in the coming period.
Regarding the achievements, as of December 25, 2022, the province's budget revenue reached VND 21,152 billion, an increase of 40.9% compared to the provincial People's Council's projected target. Of this, domestic revenue reached VND 19,832 billion; revenue from import and export activities reached VND 1,320 billion.

The industrial production index is estimated to increase by 12.56% compared to the same period in 2021. Goods exports are estimated at US$154.3 million, a decrease of 24.8% compared to the same period. For the whole year of 2022, goods exports are estimated at US$2,168 million, an increase of 2.6%; and goods imports are estimated at US$1,175 million, an increase of 18.2% compared to the same period in 2021.
The province's tourism sector has shown clear signs of recovery and development. It is estimated that in December, the number of tourists reached 340,000, generating tourism revenue of 301 billion VND. For the whole year, the number of tourists is estimated at 6.73 million, 2.56 times higher; and tourism revenue is estimated at 5,602 billion VND, 4.02 times higher than the same period in 2021.

In December, the province granted licenses and adjusted 19 projects with a total investment of over 980 billion VND. For the whole year of 2022, the province granted licenses to 111 new projects with a total capital of 29,408 billion VND; and adjusted 109 projects. The total capital for new and adjusted projects exceeded 42,879 billion VND, an increase of 9.05% compared to the same period in 2021.
Despite numerous efforts, as of December 20th, only over 3,663 billion VND of the provincial-managed public investment capital had been disbursed, reaching 49.21% of the total plan. Excluding newly allocated central government budget funds and national target program funds, the disbursement rate reached 60.73%.

In addition, international cooperation and integration activities continue to be implemented effectively. Significant progress has been made in the cultural and social fields; national defense and security are ensured, and social order and safety are maintained.
In 2023, the province's budget revenue target was set at 15,836 billion VND, an increase of 839 billion VND compared to the target set by the Provincial People's Council in 2022. Of this, domestic revenue was 14,586 billion VND, and revenue from import and export activities was 1,250 billion VND.
