Nghe An women raise awareness of safe motherhood and child health care
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 27, in Nghia Dan district, the Provincial Women's Union organized a communication event on "Raising awareness of safe motherhood, child health care and encouraging women to give birth at medical facilities".
Attending the program were Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, and the Fatherland Front of Nghia Dan district; representatives of leaders of the Women's Unions of Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Quy Hop, and Thanh Chuong districts.
The communication program "Raising awareness of safe motherhood, child health care and mobilizing women to give birth at medical facilities" is part of the project "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children". In 2022, the Women's Union of Nghe An province launched and implemented project activities in 11 mountainous and highland districts in the province.

The communication session aims to promote and mobilize women in the region.ethnic minorities, mountainous areas have more useful knowledge in child health care and change awareness about safe childbirth at medical facilities.
At the same time, mobilize the participation of all levels and sectors to effectively implement policies to support ethnic minority women in this issue.
To enhance the effectiveness of propaganda, many dramatized works were elaborately staged. In particular, the reports shown related to issues arising in maternal and child health care in the highlands were translated into Mong, Thai, and O Du languages. Thanks to that, more than 500 women members present at the program were very excited to participate in discussing and exchanging many contents related to the program's theme.

After Nghia Dan district, from December 28-29, the Provincial Women's Union will organize communication in Quy Hop and Que Phong districts.
