In 2022, the Party Committee, the government, the Steering Committee for Base Construction, departments, branches, organizations at all levels, the People and the armed forces of the province have closely followed the policies of the Central Government, resolutions and plans of the province, proactively overcome difficulties, strived to successfully complete the task of building a comprehensive strong base, and a safe cluster.

In the difficult context due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters, the province has maintained political stability, socio-economic development, and national defense and security. People's lives have gradually improved, solidarity between religions and the entire people has been strengthened; the locality has remained stable. GRDP growth rate reached 9.08%, budget revenue reached more than 21,300 billion VND.

Party building and political system building have been focused on, inspection and supervision programs and plans have been well implemented, thereby rectifying and handling many Party organizations and Party members who violated discipline. The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have promoted the strength of the entire people to support and assist in preventing and combating natural disasters and epidemics, ensuring social security.

The province has successfully organized drills for the provincial defense and civil defense areas. The armed forces have actively done a good job in preventing and fighting crimes; propagating and mobilizing people to prevent and fight epidemics, overcome natural disasters, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and build new rural areas. The national defense associated with the people's security posture and the people's hearts posture continue to be consolidated and strengthened.

At the conference, representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors assessed the results of coordination with the Provincial Military Command in performing military and defense tasks in 2022; analyzed and proposed solutions, tasks and key contents in coordinating the implementation of military and defense tasks in 2023.

In 2021, the Steering Committee for Infrastructure Construction of Nghe An province sets the goal of continuing to build and synchronously and effectively implement action programs, work plans, tasks and solutions set forth in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

In addition, promoting the potential and strengths of the locality, the results achieved in 2022, completing and exceeding economic, cultural and social targets; building national defense - security, strong and comprehensive communes, wards and towns, mastering safety clusters, maintaining political stability, order and social safety; consolidating and strengthening the great solidarity bloc, creating consensus among the entire people, maintaining local stability, creating favorable conditions for economic, cultural and social development.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Commander of the Provincial Military Command said that in 2022, although the province faced many difficulties, the work of building a comprehensive strong base and a safe and secure cluster achieved positive results.

Emphasizing the difficulties and complexities forecasted in 2023 affecting socio-economic development and national defense and security tasks, the Commander of the Provincial Military Command said that it is necessary to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement Directive No. 36 of the Prime Minister on building a comprehensively strong foundation to meet the requirements of national defense and security tasks in the new situation.

In addition, strengthen state management of national defense and security, build a strong armed force, do a good job in selecting and calling citizens to join the army, proactively prevent and handle all situations that arise. Do a good job in mass mobilization, implement the grassroots democracy regulations, effectively carry out the work of receiving people, resolving petitions and letters, and dialogue with people.

Timely grasp the ideological situation and public opinion of the people, do a good job of information and communication work; Continue to direct and promote the movement to protect national security, contributing to ensuring security and order right at the grassroots level; Do a good job of foreign affairs, national defense and security...

Also at the conference, the Provincial Military Command signed a Program to coordinate the implementation of military and defense tasks in 2023 with provincial departments, branches, and socio-political organizations.
