The body found on the bank of Lam River is a young man from Ha Tinh.

At 10am on January 3, residents of Xuan Lam commune, Hung Nguyen district discovered the body of a man lying face down on the bank of Lam river in hamlet 5, Xuan Lam commune, about 500m downstream from the old Yen Xuan bridge. The victim was wearing black jeans, a black jacket, and holding a bag to his chest.

During the inspection of the scene, the authorities discovered that the bag the victim was holding in front of his chest contained many stones, and inside the victim's clothes was a phone. The authorities took the SIM card from this phone and put it in another phone, and discovered the victim's Zalo account.

The victim was quickly identified as Tran Van B. (born in 2001), residing in Kim Son hamlet, Kim Hoa commune, Huong Son district (Ha Tinh). B. left home on December 28, 2022, and the following evening his family lost contact with him. In recent days, the victim's relatives have organized a search and posted information about B. on social media, but to no avail.

Immediately after receiving information about the discovery of Mr. B.'s body in Xuan Lam Commune, Hung Nguyen District, the victim's family left for Nghe An. At around 6:00 p.m. on January 3, the victim's mother arrived at the scene and confirmed that the body on the bank of the Lam River was indeed her son.

The Hung Nguyen District Police and the Provincial Police Forensic Department conducted an autopsy. At 7 p.m. the same day, the victim's body was handed over to his family for burial.

The cause of Mr. Bien's death is being investigated by the authorities.
