(Baonghean.vn) - Paul Stars, Director of the Center for Preventive Action of the Council on Foreign Relations, in an article for the US edition of The Hill, outlined three major foreign policy threats to the US in 2023.

Topping the list is the risk between the US and Russia or China, or possibly both.
“This threat has overshadowed the use of weapons of mass destruction against the United States,” Stars said.
Second on the list of threats shared by five regions at once, the situation potentially leading to the use of nuclear weapons.
"New conflicts on the Korean peninsula, conflicts between Israel and Iran, wars between India and Pakistan, US-China confrontation in the East Sea and border clashes involving China and India" - the article wrote.
Rounding out the list are the threat of nuclear proliferation and the consequences of other factors such as climate change.
“The impacts of climate change and other environmental factors are playing an increasing role, as seen in the Sahel, Somalia and Central America,” Stars writes.
Earlier, Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov named three places where the situation could trigger a military conflict involving the world's leading powers. According to him, they are Ukraine, Taiwan and the Korean Peninsula.
