Respectful ceremony to commemorate the 965th anniversary of the death of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 8, at the Qua Son Temple National Monument (Do Luong), a ceremony was held to commemorate the 965th anniversary of the death of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Provincial Agencies; Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; Tran Thi Phuong - Head of the Provincial Monument Management Board; leaders of Do Luong district and a large number of people and tourists from all over.

The 965th anniversary of the death of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang took place in accordance with ancient rituals, imbued with the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people; expressing gratitude to Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang, who had many contributions to economic development and national defense such as: building irrigation systems, building dikes to prevent floods, reclaiming land, urging and rebuilding many communal houses, pagodas, and temples for people to visit and worship.

During his 16 years as District Governor, Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang achieved many glorious achievements such as fighting the enemy to protect the border, gathering and educating the people, encouraging agricultural production and the development of many other industries.
Ly Nhat Quang turned Nghe An into a prosperous land with simple customs and hard-working and brave people, a reliable base for the royal court.

In 1057, Uy Minh Vuong - Ly Nhat Quang was canonized and became a saint at the foot of Qua Mountain in Boi Son Commune, Do Luong District today. After his death, to express their condolences and gratitude, the people built a temple at the foot of Qua Mountain.
Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang was granted the title by the feudal dynasties: "Uy Minh, brave and heroic, the lieutenant colonel, the holy husband of the third throne - the sovereign of the country - the spiritual protector of the country, the husband of the great king, the supreme, the supreme, the most sacred and honorable god".
The Announcement Ceremony and the death anniversary of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang took place in a solemn atmosphere, demonstrating the spirit of "When drinking water, remember its source". This is also a very meaningful work in continuing to implement the Resolution of the 5th Central Committee - 8th tenure of the Party on "Building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity".
