(Baonghean.vn) - At the press conference before the second leg of the semi-final, coach Shin Tae Yong said that the Indonesian team had made good preparations and would win this match.

“We have a chance and came here to win. The players are well prepared for this match. The whole team believes in the best result in the rematch against Vietnam. We also believe that we will show our best performance. Let's wait and see what Indonesia can show,” coach Shin Tae Yong said at a press conference before the second leg of the AFF Cup 2022 semi-final against Vietnam.

“I agree that the Vietnamese team organized a good defense in the first leg, but that does not mean that Indonesia is not capable of attacking. We did not score a goal but we also created many opportunities.

In the second leg, the players all tried their best and were determined to win. That is an advantage. I don't think the Indonesian team will have any disadvantage in tomorrow's match," coach Shin Tae Yong continued.

Regarding the fact that the Indonesian team flew directly from Jakarta to Hanoi in just 4 hours, while the Vietnamese team had to travel half a day to return home, coach Shin admitted that his team had a slight advantage because the players did not lose energy. “Actually, this is a small advantage. The Vietnamese team transited in Ho Chi Minh City and had more difficulty in terms of travel time,” said Mr. Shin.

In the semi-finals, there were 3 Korean coaches leading the teams of Malaysia, Indonesia and Indonesia. Talking about this, Coach Shin Tae Yong shared: “This is a source of motivation for me personally, creating competition, building and contributing to the development of Korean football as well as Southeast Asia”.

Evaluating the opponents in the second leg of the semi-final, coach Shin Tae Yong said: “Vietnam is a strong team. Previously, they and Thailand were the top teams in Southeast Asia. However, since I arrived, Indonesia has developed every day and can be even better. I rate Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam as equal at the present time.”

“Both teams want to win to reach the final. No one wants to draw and have to play extra time or penalties, but want to resolve the match in 90 minutes of official play,” coach Shin Tae Yong concluded.
