Nghe An: Highlights of January 14th

*On the morning of January 14th, during a working visit to Nghe An,Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang- Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council worked with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

During the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang listened to a report on the province's performance in 2022 and its orientation for 2023.

The comrade affirmed that in 2022, Nghe An still achieved remarkable results, not only basically completing the targets, but also showing many bright spots and highlights in the quality of the targets, creating a good foundation for 2023.

Referring to the implementation of the provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang stated that the province has closely followed the new policies of the Government; concretizing the documents of the 13th National Congress and Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW on the development of the North Central and Central Coastal regions. Nghe An has paid attention to the conditions that are prerequisites for a new breakthrough.

Speaking at the Lunar New Year celebration for workers, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council - expressed his joy at visiting and participating in the "Tet Reunion - Spring Connection" with Asia Hoa Son Joint Stock Company; and extended his warmest greetings and best wishes for the new year to all the company's staff and workers.

At the event, Party and State leaders presented 100 gifts to disadvantaged workers in Anh Son district, including 40 gifts given directly to workers.

At the Anh Son District Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang and the delegation presented 170 gifts to families of war heroes, poor households, disadvantaged households with members affected by Agent Orange, and households affected by natural disasters in 2022 in Anh Son district; and donated 300 million VND to the people of Anh Son district.

Later that afternoon, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang and the delegation visited and presented gifts to wish a Happy New Year in Thanh Chuong district.
