Nghe An: Highlights on January 14

*On the morning of January 14, during a working program in Nghe An,Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang- Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council worked with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang heard a report on the province's task implementation in 2022 and orientation for 2023.

He affirmed that in 2022, Nghe An still achieved remarkable results, not only basically completing the targets, but the quality of the targets had many bright spots and highlights, creating a good premise for 2023.

Regarding the implementation of the provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang said that the province has closely followed the Government's new policy; concretizing the documents of the 13th National Congress and Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW on the development of the North Central and Central Coast regions. Nghe An has paid attention to the prerequisite conditions for a new breakthrough.

At the program, Party and State leaders presented 100 gifts to workers in Anh Son district with difficult circumstances, including 40 workers directly.

At Anh Son District Party Committee, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang and the working delegation presented 170 gifts to families of meritorious people, poor households, disadvantaged households with people infected with Agent Orange, and households affected by natural disasters in 2022 in Anh Son district; presented 300 million VND to the people of Anh Son district.

In the afternoon of the same day, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang and the working delegation visited and presented Tet gifts in Thanh Chuong district.

The delegation led by Major General Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense and Security went directly to Hung Tay and Hung Yen Nam communes (Hung Nguyen district) to visit, wish a Happy New Year and give gifts to policy families, poor households and those in difficult circumstances.
