Driving home for Tet by yourself, what should you keep in mind?
In addition to choosing means of transport such as airplanes or buses, many people also choose to drive themselves (cars or motorbikes) to go home or travel. For a long journey, people need to prepare in advance so that the trip is smooth and safe.

Check and maintain vehicle before departure
Whether it is a car or a motorbike, making sure your vehicle is in good working condition is something you need to make sure of before a long trip. This can minimize the incidents that may occur during the trip.
It is best to take your car to a warranty center to have it thoroughly checked or replace some necessary parts such as changing engine oil, brake pads, lights, tires, etc.
Prepare necessary items
Medical kit, electric pump, mini battery charger, jumper cable, flashlight, emergency hammer, reflective warning sign, spare tire, repair kit... along with proficient troubleshooting skills will be a great help to help you handle situations that arise on the road.
Minimize luggage, arrange neatly
Consider what you need to bring, don't bring too much luggage, leave behind things that are not really necessary. Packing things neatly also helps everyone sitting in the car to have the most comfortable position, avoiding fatigue on long journeys.
Build a specific schedule
If you are not sure about the route you need to take, it is best to find out before the trip. Having a clear schedule and route will help you know where you will go, what to do, what to eat, where to sleep, what to visit on what day, what time, etc. If the trip requires an overnight stay, you should book a room in advance to have a place to stop and rest. Avoid not being able to find a place to eat and sleep due to overcrowding during Tet.
Bring all documents, always obey Traffic Laws
When participating in traffic, of course you must comply with Traffic Laws and carry with you the necessary documents and keep them in the most easily accessible place when needed.
Speeding and reckless overtaking are too risky on long trips. Keep a steady speed and pay attention to traffic signals.
Rest properly, find a companion
Don't go alone, find yourself at least 1 companion, that way the trip will be more interesting, less boring and especially you can support each other in unexpected situations that happen on the road.
Also, remember to rest when you feel tired, don't try to drive any further when you feel tired. You should stop and rest for a few minutes after every 50-60km.
