Nghe An: 91 cases were handled due to violations of fireworks on New Year's Eve

At the police stations of districts, cities and towns, working groups are arranged appropriately to ensure closed patrols and controls in the area. At the same time, coordination with local authorities and mass organizations is strengthened to mobilize the combined strength in ensuring security and order. In particular, on New Year's Eve, thousands of Nghe An police officers were present in villages, hamlets, and residential blocks to grasp the situation and propagate and mobilize people not to violate the law on fireworks. In Vinh city and towns, the mobile police force, traffic police, and 113 police are on duty with 100% of their strength to both ensure traffic safety and prevent all types of crimes.

Under the close direction of the provincial police, all cases of illegal trading, transportation, storage and use of fireworks were detected and strictly handled. On New Year's Eve, the police force detected and handled 90 cases and 91 subjects violating the law on fireworks; of which, 71 subjects violated the law because of illegal use of fireworks. Localities handled many cases of illegal use of fireworks such as: Yen Thanh: 25 cases, 25 subjects (in Bao Thanh commune alone, there were 10 cases, 10 subjects); Do Luong: 19 cases, 19 subjects; Cua Lo town: 21 cases, 21 subjects, ...

All cases of violations related to fireworks are temporarily detained according to the law to serve the work of classification, record making and strict handling according to regulations; at the same time to deter, educate and prevent recurrence of violations.

Currently, the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police continue to direct the Police of units and localities to mobilize maximum forces and synchronously deploy many professional measures to ensure security and order. In particular, the Traffic Police force regularly coordinates with the Police of communes with many historical and spiritual relics to regulate traffic, avoiding congestion and jams.

At the same time, continue to strengthen patrols and strictly handle violations of traffic safety order, especially violations of speed and alcohol concentration; implement solutions to ensure traffic safety order on waterways, especially at ferry terminals; strengthen traffic safety order on the way to scenic spots and festival venues. Each officer and soldier in the working groups needs to further strengthen the work of closely following the base and locality to proactively detect and strictly handle violations of firecrackers. Along with that, regularly patrol and control the area, maintain the effectiveness of the firecracker prevention teams.
