Que Phong: Outstanding results in 2022
(Baonghean.vn) - With the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches, the focused leadership of the District Party Committee, supervision of the People's Council, direction and operation of the District People's Committee, along with the efforts of sectors, levels and people, in 2022 Que Phong has achieved many important results in many fields.
The economy achieved a good growth rate, culture and society changed positively; national defense and security continued to be maintained... the district was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal from the President.

- The economy continues to change positively. Total budget revenue in 2022 is estimated at VND 803,847 billion, exceeding the estimate by 25.26%; of which total revenue in the area is VND 42,203 billion, exceeding the estimate by 104.18% in 2022. Average income is VND 33.5 million/person, up 6.87% compared to 2021 and equal to 96.36% compared to the 2022 plan. Disbursement of public investment capital as of November 2022 ranked 2nd out of 21 districts, cities and towns.

- For the second consecutive year, the Education and Training sector has been ranked Excellent since the district was established. In 2022, 3 new schools were recognized and 5 schools were recognized to continue meeting National standards at various levels, the rate of National standard schools in the district reached 65.9%.
- Health care and preventive medicine work has been effectively implemented. The quality of medical examination and treatment at the District Health Center and commune and town health stations has been increasingly improved, contributing to reducing the burden on upper-level hospitals. Focus on directing the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the district.

- Cultural - information - sports work was directed with attention. During the year, Que Phong ranked first among mountainous districts at the Provincial Sports Congress, ranked fifth overall, and was the first mountainous unit to participate in the congresses and achieved fifth place. Successfully organized the Vietnam - Laos exchange program to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos. During the year, the total number oftouristto the area more than 11,900 times, service revenue is estimated at more than 4.3 billion VND.

- Ranked first in the district competitiveness index. Administrative reform continues to receive attention and direction, ranking 7th in 2021, up 1 place compared to 2020. In particular, it has coordinated with VNPT Nghe An to effectively implement digital transformation in the district.
- Maintain strict implementation of patrol and guard regimes, grasp the border situation, prevent and combat illegal border crossings. Organize military training and drills at district level, and commune-level defense area drills in 2022 with good results. Investigation, combat and prevention of all types of crimes continue to achieve many positive results, especially drug-related crimes.
Gross domestic product growth rate of 8.5%. Average income per capita reached 35.7 million VND/year. Total budget revenue in the area was 18.05 billion VND. Jobs were created for 1,100 people. The poverty rate decreased by 4.68%.
