(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 26 (the 5th day of Tet), at the Provincial Defense Area Exercise Command, Nghi Cong Nam Commune, Nghi Loc District, the Provincial Military Command organized the launch of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring Quy Mao 2023.

Attending and directing the ceremony were Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Political Commissar of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command.

At the launching ceremony, Colonel Duong Minh Hien - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command launched and called on all officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces to actively participate in "Tet tree planting - Forever grateful to Uncle Ho", considering this a regular and continuous task; at the same time, requiring agencies and units to thoroughly educate all officers and soldiers to fully understand the meaning and benefits of planting trees at their agencies and units as well as planting trees to create forests to protect the ecological environment.

With the motto "Plant a tree, it will live well", agencies and units determine the location for planting trees, choose suitable types of trees, choose good quality seedlings, take advantage of favorable weather in each unit to organize tree planting and afforestation with good results.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, agencies and units under the Provincial Military Command simultaneously organized tree planting at their agencies and units. It is expected that this year, officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces will plant more than 50,000 trees, including more than 3,000 fruit trees of various kinds and more than 48,000 timber trees and shade trees newly planted in the premises of the Provincial Military Command, the premises of the Military Commands of districts, cities, towns and the logistics bases and training grounds of agencies and units throughout the provincial armed forces.
