Morning of January 30, the teamLam River Nghe Anheld a flower and incense offering ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Square, officially holding the Launch Ceremony for the 2023 season.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy General Director Nguyen Dinh Nghia and coach Nguyen Huy Hoang, on behalf of the entire team, offered a beautiful flower basket to the soul of President Ho Chi Minh. At the same time, they were determined to play their best, honestly, and beautifully, and to achieve the goal of entering the top 8 teams after the first leg of the season.

In the 2023 season, Song Lam Nghe An registered 29 players and coaches. With the orientation of continuing to rejuvenate the force, the club's coaching staff decided to promote 3 more young players from the U21 team. Including: Center back Le Van Thanh, defender Vuong Van Huy and striker Ngo Van Luong.

In particular, after the departure of some key players, the Nghe An team has brought in two foreign players who are considered quite high quality. Among them, Vytas Gaspuitis will be arranged to play as a central defender with Que Ngoc Hai. Jordy Soladio will play highest in the attack, alongside striker Olaha.

The 2023 season is expected to be more intense than previous seasons. This year's regulations have changed when VPF decided to split into 2 groups after the first leg. Group 1, consisting of 8 teams competing for the first, second and third positions. Group 2, consisting of 6 teams competing to avoid 1 relegation spot.

With that format, Song Lam Nghe An aims to enter the group of 8 strongest teams after the end of the first leg.
