75 years of steadfast devotion to the Party

(Baonghean.vn) - Early in the new year, on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, reporters had the opportunity to meet veteran party member Ho Xuan Tue (96 years old) at his private home in Block 8, Hung Nguyen town. This year, Mr. Tue has just received the 75-year Party membership badge.

Talking, we could not help but be surprised by the agility and clarity of the old man at his nearly 100 years old. Listening to him confide and share about his revolutionary activities as well as express his joy at the changes in Hung Nguyen district in particular and the whole country in general. Veteran Party member Ho Xuan Tue was also very impressed with the maturity, affirmation of the mettle, qualities, prestige and capacity of the current leadership team.

Born in 1927, in Tung hamlet, Hung Thai commune, now block 8, Hung Nguyen town, in a family with a tradition of patriotism, the young man Ho Xuan Tue was enlightened early and participated in the revolution from a young age and was admitted to the Party at the age of 22. Until now, when he is already a hundred years old, but through his voice, eyes and the stories he tells, we still see the passionate heart of the young man from the past, see the pride of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, always upholding the role and responsibility of being a pioneer, exemplary, setting an example for his children and grandchildren to learn and follow.

Recalling the moment he was admitted to the Party, Mr. Ho Xuan Tue said: “That was a sacred moment in my life. With faith and a steadfast oath to the Party, no matter what position I hold, I will always strive to contribute to my homeland and country, and fulfill well the role and responsibility of a Party member.”

Becoming a party member in his early twenties, Mr. Ho Xuan Tue clearly understood his responsibilities and became more active in participating in local activities. From 1946 to 1949, he was a member of the Youth Executive Committee and a platoon leader of the Militia and Guerrilla Force. From 1949 to 1953, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the Hung Dao Commune Party Committee, in charge of office work and propaganda.

In October 1953, the Provincial Party Committee transferred him to work at the Nghe An Police Department. Later, due to his serious illness, he was allowed to return to his locality. From 1954 to 1965, he continued to be assigned to work as Chief of Office, Head of Propaganda Department of Hung Thai Commune Party Cell, and Political Commissar of the Village Militia and Guerrilla Team. From 1966 to 1975, he was Deputy Director of Dong Tien Agricultural Cooperative, administrator of Thai Lao Cooperative, and labor planning officer of Ba To Cooperative. In 1977, Hung Nguyen District transferred Mr. Ho Xuan Tue to work as Principal of Hung Tay Secondary School. From 1980 to 1985, he was Team Leader of Production Team. From 1985 to 1991, he was Head of the Association for the Elderly. During his work, regardless of the field or position, he always promoted the pioneering and exemplary nature of a Party member to build a strong collective.

With his tireless dedication to the cause of building and defending the country, with the enthusiasm of an exemplary party member, Mr. Ho Xuan Tue has been awarded many Medals, Certificates of Merit, and Certificates of Merit by the State. In particular, this spring, he was also awarded the 75-year Party membership badge.

Mr. Tue excitedly said: “Since joining the revolution, I have always believed in the Party and served the revolution. I feel very happy to receive the 75-year Party membership badge. I always tell my children and grandchildren that no matter what position they hold, every cadre and Party member must constantly study, practice, and fulfill the role of a Party member well, and not do anything that harms the Party's reputation, the people's interests, or the family's honor and reputation.”

Commenting on Party member Ho Xuan Tue, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thuy - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hung Nguyen town said: "Mr. Ho Xuan Tue is a loyal party member, striving and dedicating his whole life to the revolution and to the cause of building and developing his homeland. We still regularly visit and listen, apply the advice and teachings of him as well as the generation of former cadres and senior party members to continue to improve ourselves, follow the tradition, and build Hung Nguyen town to become increasingly prosperous."
