"To legitimize global politics and global security, the war must end with a Ukrainian victory," Podolyak wrote on Twitter. "Negotiations can only begin when Russia withdraws its troops from Ukrainian territory. Other options only give Russia more time to regroup and resume hostilities at any time." German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and US Vice President Kamala Harris were among the top officials attending the Munich Security Conference.
On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland's statement regarding the attacks on the Crimean peninsula once again showed Washington's involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.
Responding to the press conference, Ms. Zakharova stated: "She allowed herself to make a series of shocking and absurd statements... Once again, we witnessed the US involvement in the conflict in Ukraine, which is the provision of large quantities of weapons, providing intelligence information, and blatantly participating in planning operations."
According to Ms. Zakharova, the US has many internal problems to solve besides the Ukraine issue. This spokesperson advised Ms. Victoria Nuland to pay attention to white balloons and unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in US airspace.
Earlier on February 16, Ms. Victoria Nuland said that the US supported Ukraine's attack on military bases on the Crimean peninsula, affirming that these were legitimate targets./.
