Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and his delegation visited, presented gifts and congratulated Nghe An Oncology Hospital on the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors' Day. This is a grade I provincial oncology hospital with two operating locations in Hung Dung Ward and Nghi Lien Commune (Vinh City). The hospital was assigned a plan of 1,180 beds but actually had 1,311 beds.

Nghe An Oncology Hospital has deployed advanced techniques, such as: Gene sequencing testing to analyze some gene mutations in cancer; Prostate biopsy through the rectum under ultrasound guidance; High-frequency radio wave ablation to treat liver tumors; surgeries to treat lung cancer, pancreatic-duodenal cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer...

In particular, the hospital has deployed intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) on two modern accelerator radiotherapy systems: Precise and Synergy Platform, which have been put into use since March 2019 and have so far deployed 90,000 radiation sessions with more than 4,500 patients. The hospital has 1 internationally recognized, multi-center research project; 2 ministerial-level projects; 2 provincial-level science and technology projects.

Recognizing, praising and appreciating the results; sincerely thanking the efforts of the health sector in general and the hospital in particular over the past time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that although the hospital was only established 13 years ago, it has continuously developed and applied many advanced techniques in medical examination and treatment.

In addition, the hospital has done a good job in scientific research and human resource training; not only serving the people in the province but also the people in the region... In the past 3 years, the hospital has not only participated in disease prevention but also performed well the task of taking care of people's health. Thereby, contributing to helping Nghe An be assessed as a locality with a highly developed medical sector.

Sharing the hardships and sacrifices of the medical staff in the face of increasing pressure and demands from the people, the head of the provincial People's Committee said that there are still many difficulties and problems of the industry and the hospital that the province does not have enough resources to solve; at the same time, he hoped that the hospital would continue to promote the achieved results to better perform the work of medical examination and treatment for the people, especially for those with incurable diseases.

The hospital must also continue to strictly comply with the instructions and guidance of the Department of Health and the Ministry of Health on professional work; Continue to apply advanced techniques and technology to medical examination and treatment; management work to create the most favorable conditions for people; Strengthen scientific research to serve medical examination and treatment; Continue to train and improve the professional capacity and medical ethics of the staff, doctors and nurses; Focus on implementing the Oncology Hospital project phase 2 well, thereby affirming that the health sector is one of the 10 centers of the North Central region.

Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital is a provincial level I Traditional Medicine hospital. The current patient flow is 1,200 - 1,400 patients/day. The hospital was assigned a plan of 650 beds but actually has 896 beds. The hospital is striving to become a final hospital for traditional medicine by 2025.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the solidarity of the hospital's leadership and staff, thereby affirming the position of the traditional medicine hospital; at the same time, he sincerely thanked the important contributions of the staff, doctors, nurses and workers to the development of the province's health sector and their contributions to medical examination, treatment and health care for the people.

In the coming time, the hospital needs to promote the achieved results to continue to implement the set goals, meeting the requirements of the industry, the province as well as the people. To achieve the goal of becoming a final-level hospital by 2025, the hospital needs to continue to innovate and develop the field of traditional medicine in the direction of both preserving tradition and applying scientific and technological advances and new technologies in the field of traditional medicine.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also hopes that the hospital will continue to innovate, apply information technology, and digital transformation to effectively carry out management work and better serve medical examination and treatment. On the other hand, continue to coordinate with the Central Traditional Medicine System and medical examination and treatment facilities of localities with a level of development to exchange and improve the hospital's professional work; continue to improve the quality of human resources, medical ethics, and policies for staff and workers.

Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and the delegation visited and congratulated Cua Dong General Hospital. This is a non-public hospital equivalent to grade III, completely autonomous in terms of human resources, facilities, and medical equipment.

The hospital was approved by the Ministry of Health for 350 beds, with over 500 beds actually available. The hospital currently has 103 doctors, 12 pharmacists, 191 nurses, midwives, technicians and a management team with many experienced operational departments in the medical and service fields.

Every day, the hospital has 600-800 outpatient visits and 350-500 inpatients per day. The hospital is comprehensively innovating in terms of professional quality as well as patient service quality. In 2022, the hospital was assessed by the Nghe An Department of Health to achieve 3.91 points according to the Ministry of Health's criteria for hospital quality assessment.
