Nghe An province's budget revenue for the first two months is estimated at 2,944 billion VND.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 23, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired the February 2023 meeting of the Provincial People's Committee.
Attending the meeting were: Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Bui Thanh An - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with other members of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and agencies.

In February 2023, all levels and sectors focused on implementing the 2023 tasks immediately after the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit 2023. The area for rice cultivation and spring vegetable planting was on schedule. The province completed the verification process to submit to the Central Steering Committee for assessment that two district-level units, Do Luong and Dien Chau, met the standards for new rural areas.
The industrial production index in February is estimated to have increased by 13.17% compared to the same period in 2022. Goods export turnover is estimated at 170 million USD, an increase of 8.2% compared to the same period in 2022. State budget revenue in the area is estimated at 2,944 billion VND, reaching 18.6% of the projected target and equaling 94.3% of the same period last year.

Regarding the disbursement of the 2022 public investment plan, as of January 31, 2023, the provincial-managed public investment capital had disbursed over 5,673 billion VND, reaching 86.47% of the detailed plan allocated at the beginning of the year, with over 1,771 billion VND remaining undisbursed. The Provincial People's Committee has reported to the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Prime Minister, proposing an extension for 32 projects with a capital of over 599 billion VND.
Regarding the implementation of the 2023 public investment plan, Nghe An province was allocated 9,033.5 billion VND by the central government. As of February 20, 2023, the province had disbursed over 537 billion VND, reaching 5.95%. Of this amount, over 103 billion VND came from the central government budget (2.61%); and over 434 billion VND came from the local government budget (8.57%).

In February, the province granted licenses to 9 new projects with a total investment of 240 billion VND; adjusted 7 projects; and the total registered capital for new and increased investments was 348 billion VND. Cumulatively from the beginning of the year to date, the province has granted licenses to 23 new projects with a total registered investment capital of 962.2 billion VND, and a total capital of over 1,114 billion VND for new and adjusted investments.
Cultural and social activities were given attention and implemented effectively. The province successfully organized the commemoration of the 1310th anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising (713-2023), received the Certificate of Ranking as a Special National Monument for the Mai Hac De Temple, and held the King Mai Temple Festival in 2023. National defense and security were maintained, and social order and safety were ensured.
